What Is My Favorite Place in Southwest Detroit,
And Who Would I have Help Improve it

            My Favorite place in Southwest Detroit is the Michigan Central Station, and it is my favorite place because it is a very beautiful building and it has plenty of history. I have been by the building countless times and I am always amazed by the way it looks. As a child growing up in Southwest Detroit, I have always loved the old train station, which is what I called it before I learned its actual name.

When I have walked by the Michigan Central Station once I really took time to take in its beauty, but then I also noticed that around it, there was a lot of graffiti and the walkway was full of trash. I would choose SDEV (Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision) to help with the fixing up of the area. SDEV is an environmental group that focuses on helping the environment. With the help of SDEV, I believe that many people would come to visit the Michigan Central Station and marvel at its beauty.

Once I got to Ideal, I started to go to Steve and I grabbed a handful of Invoices which took me a while to do. After that Steve sent me some Picking sheets and it took me about a hour. Then Melanie gave me some Picking sheets to arrange also, after arranging I can put the numbers into Sugar and after finishing those I can put them in a separate room in case we ever need them.

Today was a busy/productive day. I started the morning by checking lots of papers and also checking if Alex had signed all of them so I can be able to file them. If Alex had not signed them, I had to give them to her. Afterwards, I had to file all the papers in the correct folders. After filing all of the papers, I had to put white out on some names that were on folders so Yuli can reuse them for something new. The rest of the day I was filling out birthday cards for October so they can be mailed. Last I took some of the cards and sealed them so they can be mailed.

Today I worked on the board making a Winter Memories for the Ideal works to put pictures of  their winter memories. I only worked on scans since Steve has a big stack of  scans that need to be done. Today was a pretty relaxed and productive day. I completed about 300 scans.
