A Slow Day by Richard Zarate

Today was a slow day for me. When I got here, I checked my email and Alex didn't leave me any work. I asked Amanda for some work and she didn't have anything for me, I went upstairs to help with some filing and I put away some stacks of paper. After I finished, I took down some of the flyers for the clean up. Virginia gave me some work and I worked on it until lunch.   After lunch, I told Sylvia that I was having a slow day and she gave me some work to do. She gave me some papers to scan. After I finished, I continued to work on Virginia's task. After I finished, I didn't have anything else to do. I told Amanda that I was going to go fishing on Thursday. She told me to write a blog about it. I started to write my blog.   What's the difference between fishing for catfish and other species? Catching catfish isn't easy,  if you don't have patience, then don't try to catch catfish. You'll need a lot of patience because catfish don't bite constant

Today was a great day, it went by smoothly. I started off my day by doing some purchase orders for Virginia. I scanned them and then split some of the files. I saved them to the network which is the longest part of the process. I wrote down the order numbers so I can know which ones I need to do. After   I finished, I saved the purchase orders to Sugar. After I finished, I put the papers on the order stack. Later Amanda asked me to throw away the Poinsettias, but I gave them to the cleaning lady because she wanted the flowers. I asked Sylvia for some work and she asked me to help her with some posters.   After lunch I helped Sylvia with some of the posters for the clean up. I needed to print an image, I changed the brightness and the contrast to make it less blurry. After I finished, she asked me to put some people in her contacts. My day was pretty great.  Last week on Friday, I turned in my application for the National Honor Society. I wrote down how I've been a leader, my c

Jackie - 3/19/2015 Drive Around Neighborhood

Jacqueline Perez March 19, 2015 Drive Around Neighborhood Today was a very productive day for myself and the gardens. I went on a drive around the neighborhood with Sarah Clark and Christopher, to get some tasks and future plans established. I did a couple things for Sylvia back at the office as well. In the morning I wrote out the Madrina Luncheon Minutes, which happened on Saturday. The luncheon went really well and we got lots of ideas from our Madrinas this year. I also did an hour and a half of scanning for the Shield’s sales department. Some documents had to be mailed to the DACA attorney and I took care of those as well. In the afternoon I went on the drive around the neighborhood that lead to many ideas, plans and task finalization. There will be a clean up on March 28th and we established some tasks that need to be ready for that day. We chose the places for the dumpsters, where the street needs to be cleaned, and some garden tasks. In Scarcyny the soil needs to b

Today was a normal day for me, I checked my email and Amanda told me my tasks for today. I went to go talk to Virginia about some scans. I scanned some purchase orders to myself and Callan taught me how to use the PDF Split. I did the scans and saved them onto the network and sugar. Once I finished, Virginia checked a few of the scans and told me I did a great job. I worked on a mailer list from last week and finished it. I put the labels on the postcards and mailed them out.  During lunch, I did a few homework assignments. I also counted and fed the fishes. After lunch I asked Alex for some work and she gave me a mailer list to do. While I was working on the mailers, Amanda asked me to get her a bag from her car. After I came back, I continued to work on the mailers until the end of the day. My day was pretty good today.   During the weekend, the Kinematic Wolves played in WoodHaven High school. We were in 14th place in the qualifying round, but were able to make an alliance and g
