Ideal Group Interns

Work was okay. I did learn a new task, that is entering the total hours for Sylvia and Loren. I had to go thru this long list of calendar days and put down the amount of hours they were occupied fro that day and event. It was pretty easy just a lot of information to look at. I got thru it rather quickly I may say. Other than that, I put some more water in the fridge and put some things back in Frank's office. For lunch, I walked to the store..It was a nice little walk considering it looked so nasty outside this morning. That pretty much consisted of my day, other than that I talked with Amanda and got some work done.

Today was an OK day I started out by helping Amanda with some envelopes that needed to be sealed. After finishing sending the mail. I helped Sean with his invoices but I only need to match them. When the matching was done I starting working on the credit cards for a while then I went to lunch. At lunch I had a good meal then my mom called and we had a conversation but didn’t last long. After lunch I went back to work and that was my day. Jose Perez

Despite thee ugliness outside, work was pretty good. I started my day off checking my e-mail and making sure I finished everything from yesterday. Sylvia and I sorted some of Frank's things in his office. Were getting close to finishing it, just a couple of more organizing. Hopefully by tomorrow his office is all clean and nice. After lunch I sorted the mail and stamped the invoices. Did some research and completed some task. Thee only thing really left is finishing Loren's expense report.....Other than that I completed my task for the day and will be returning tomorrow. Tomorrow, is going to be a finishing up day, because we have to finish Frank's room and I have to finish Loren's expenses. Hopefully it's not as ugly outside, they say it's suppose to snow tonight, light flurries. Back to work...I don't believe I learned a new task today.....but my day could have gone better if I have worn a shirt with more sleeves. Ugh.! I HATE THE WINTER.

Today was a good day, I started off my day sending out packets that came back because of labeling errors. I forgot to put in the address so I had to remake the labels and send them out again. After that Sylvia asked me to print out a couple of helpful articles on the My Amigo Scooter. That task didn't take too long, I began to make a flyer for our Angel Tree Adopt-A-Family, but Amanda gave me a more important task to complete so I put the flyer task aside. Amanda asked me to organize a list of names for a mailer. It took me all afternoon, and I still haven't completed, but hopefully next week I'll be able to complete it.

I've been out for about 2weeks, but I feel as if I have never left. Work was as usual, helped Edna with the mail, entered some contacts, and put in receipts. My trip to Texas was okay, can't complain. Holidays were good as well, we went to my boyfriends mom's house first then he headed to my mom's for my thanksgiving. It was nice, lots and lots of good food. Now, it's back to work! I got a puppy while I was in Texas, she's a blue pitt. Her name is Hindu. Since I did not work Thanksgiving week, I stayed at home and played with her. She is a big responsibility as a child and I think having her will teach me how to stay on tracked and responsibility. A puppy is like a new born and work in some ways, you always learn new things and have some challenges. Well, this is my blog for the day, now it's off to Hindu.

Today was a busy day for me. I started off in Accounting where I did some filing for Jennifer and did some of Yehya's filing even though he isn't here. Then For Jennifer, I seperated some papers and after that, she asked for me to do something new which was to call some people and ask about the invoices we  have yet to recieve. For some reason I was nervous but tried it anyways. After the second call, I was pretty much done with it but later on I figured that calling people is better than filing any day. Next though, I came back for work from Keli and she gave me a case full of CD's in which I had to go through to make sure they all worked. Most of them did  but a few and no offense to my supervisior ,whom is what any intern could ask for, but that was the most boring job that  I have been givin yet.:) Then of course after I finally finished the first case, here comes Keli with another that seems to contain even more CD's than the first! Today was great. I came to Ideal and waited for Linda or Yesi come in. While I was standing, waiting for them I practices Latin on my iPad. Linda came and she made me do some PDPM or hard dollar folders, I put them in order and filed them. Later, Mrs. Rowe, the priciple of the the school of DCR, Mr. Khory, the president of the school, and 3 other seniors came for a meeting which I didn't know about. I joined the meeting and talked about how to get scholarships and how great was to have the iPad to help us for school and especially for the ACT test. The meeting was over and I started by helping Yesi with some payroll papers after that I did my homework. Lunch came and Yesi went to bring me a Torta which was pretty good. I finished and started to help Edna for the mail like always but this time since it was Monday it was a lot of mail, so we had a hard time. I finished and went upstairs to help Yesi on some new hire folders, I filed them and I finished. Overall my day went great. J

Today started off simple. I came in and bound some papers for Sylvia, which of course took me little to no time at all. Then I did some deleting for Keli and Brian on an excel spreadsheet which wasn't boring. After that was all done I went to Gary for something to do. Of course I did the same thing as usual. Put some papers in order, Scanned them and put them into their right virtual folders in the computer. But after lunch was when my day really sped off. By that time I had to finish work for Gary, Yehyah, and Sean and help with the mail. Of course, the type of genius I am, I finished it all before it even hit 3:30. My day was fun. I talked and worked with Yehyah and had Gary and Keli helping me with my math, thank goodness, and  everyone congradulated me on my well earned 3.2 gpa. Today was a good day!

Today was fun. I started off doing the mail for Contracting from yesterday, but my tutor, Andrea, came without me knowing she was coming. She and I talked about the things I was having trouble with in math. She helped me do my homework and review the things I didn't know. We started  talking about my future, what I wanted to be, what University I wanted to attend and especially grades, it was a long talk but it was worth it because I learned new things. I thought Andrea was going to be a mean tutor but she ended up being a cool, nice person. She left and I went to Yesi to do some new folders for new hired employment. I didn't finished because lunch came, and Yesi, Linda and I went to a restaurant. We came back and I went to Edna to do the mail again, then I went upstaris and finished my task and mailed some papers and checks. Overall my day went great. JP

I had a feeling that today was going to be a busy day, but I love busy days. I started of my day mailing out thank you packets to some of the DHDC sponsors. It was a task that had to be completed before the mail came so it could be sent out, luckily I finished in time. Then I created an event folder and a flyer. I had lots of fun making the flyer. After that I gathered some things for the safety meeting. Since there was a lot of work to be done out in the shop, the meeting was rescheduled to tomorrow. During lunch Amanda and I went for a coffee, then I helped Edna with the mail as soon as I got back. After the mail, I had to create a shedule for my life. It was probably one of the hardest task all day. I printed three copies when I finished and taped them to my desk and Amanda's. My last and ongoing task was to search keywords in Google and find their ranking. I'm not done since it's a pretty long list and I started at the end of the day, but I will continue to work on it n

Today was a normal day I started out by making a few errands for people. First I helped Amanda mail a huge amount of mail then helped others. After the mail was done I did payroll for Ideal  Setech but Barely had time because the mail came late. When the mail was finished I went to go work on my essay and Amanda helped me out with the editing I had and the paper turned out to be great. In the end today was a successful day. JOSE P.

Happy Veterans Day! First off, my day was pretty simple. I came in while Keli and Brian were in their meeting so I went and got a little work from Gary. Just the usual stuff. Organise papers, scan them then put them into specific folders on the computer. After that, I just finished some work I had from last week then got more easy work from Gary. I went out once again for lunch with Brian, Keli, and Kara to this Thai place and it was really good. I ended my day helping Amanda K. with some papers she wanted to mail out, and in the process learned some new things about some of my coworkers. I had a good day!

Today was a great and busy day. I came to Ideal and started off doing PDPM and hard dollar project it took me all morning to do it. When I finished I started by doing the mail for contracting from yesterday then when I was finished I started off by doing my homework I finished it and head out to lunch with Linda. When I was back the mail was already done so I headed upstairs and did the mail for Contracting. More PDPM came so I had to file them again. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a very long day I started out by helping Sean with his invoices. After working on invoice for awhile, Kelly had something to mail so I did that then I went back to working on invoices. When lunch came I wasn't ever hungry so it went by fast. After lunch the mail was here and I got started. In a few minutes it was finished. After the mail I went back to work on the invoices and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ '

Today was a good day I started of my day entering contacts for Amanda. Then I worked on a lot of papers. I rewrote a thank you letter and an iPad essay. I also did an inventory for the supply cabinet in the kitchen. I emailed Virginia a list of needed items. I filed a couple of event folders and then continued working on a letter. I guess it was just one of those days when you have to write a lot. I went to lunch with Amanda, Linzie, and Sylvia. After lunch I binded presentations for both Group and Contracting. And helped out Edna with the mail. My afternoon had me out of my chair for the most part. I had a good day here at Ideal, yet again.

Today was my Monday to come into work. I had a good day. I entered a few contacts into Amanda's outlook. Then Amanda and I went out to a meeting at DHDC with the Detroit Tigers and talked about some future events. It was a good meeting and I enjoyed watching how women can really know there job and just get things done. After lunch we came back into the office and I continued working on a thank you letter. Today is Monday, so usually that tells you it's a busy day. As always when I first get here I check my e-mail to see what I need to start off doing. After I finished that I had some task on my desk to complete. Once I was finished with all those task I made some packages for this meeting Frank and Loren had, I also set the conference room. By that time is what lunch, I went to my moms for lunch as usual. As I got back I seen the mail had not come yet, so I entered some contacts and asked Loren for his receipts. Once I put that information in, I called Mary Sue back with some additional information about the guest attending. Finally around three thirty I will say the mail came. It took about an hour to sort it out, get it all stamped, and ready so Sean and Edna can process them in the computer. Now, I am just writing my blog and seeing what I will be doing next..... Today went by so fast, when you are busy doing your work time tends to go by really fast, that is why I like to keep m

Today really challenged me on patience. Patience with myself and my work. I am really not used to sitting down for hours just typing and making spreadsheets all day, so after the first thirty minutes has gone by and im still not finished with my work I get  fustrated with myself. But today I used that energy to try and come up with different ideas to help me move faster. To get the work done faster ,without any mistakes, and I did. So that was a major accomplishment for me because I had about three spreadsheets lined up for me in one day. But luckily I finished it all before it even hit two. Other than that though I got to go out for lunch once again with Keli, Brian, and Amanda for Middle Eastern which was delicious. So I am leaving today happy and satisfied with my work and today overall.

Today was great here at Ideal.I had work and finished it all by its due date. But by the end of the day, Keli had given me plenty of work that of course I couldn't fifnish at the time so I have something waiting for me when I come back Friday. But I didn't help with the mail, which is unusual for me. But today was really chill and I got to enjoy another day here at Ideal.

 Today was great. I started to to do the mail from yesterday it took me half my morning, when I finished I helped Linda on some folders she needed to file on the PDPMs' and hard dollar projects. Then when I finished I went downstairs to get my iPad which was awesome, it had apps to teach me and improve in school. Then I did my homework when I finished I started to look at what the iPad had on it. Lunch came and I went to lunch with Yesi, Linda, and Chelsea. When I came back to Ideal I started of by doing the mail with Edna I finished and went upstairs and finished my task I was working  on, expenses reports on the computer. Overall my day went great. Today was a good day, I started out doing payroll which is what I do every morning. It took me a little less time to do payroll this time because there weren't much invoices to enter. After payroll was finished I went to go help Amanda with things she needed to mail. After that I went to lunch and had a good time eating my candy.Soon after that the mail arrived and that had to be done. When the mail was finished I helped Sean enter some invoices and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ

Talk about the world ending in 2012, were has it gone? How did we get to November so soon? I need to start focusing more on what I need to do for myself before time runs out....Just a sidenote. Work was usual, except now instead of worrying about the Dream Maker's Gala Event, I have to worry about thank-you letter's and making sure everyone who participated in the even gets recognition. Other than that I did do the mail but not with Edna with Osmara. My day went well I can say overall, it was a strong 9! Now, it's winding down to five o'clock and i'm getting ready to gto home, I am still recovering from the event. Yeah, I know it's been five days since the event but man event planing and making sure things are together is tough. So glad that is not my real job. Well it was fun, but now it's time to read this to Sylvia and Amanda and pack up.

November came so fast! I've been putting my attention a lot toward college. Even though college is important, I still have work (: today I started out brainstorming with Amanda about college and what colleges I want to apply to. Then I created events in Frank's calendar. I learned how to send things and update them in a faster way. Then I asked Amanda to help me revise an essay. Aft lunch I binded and entered contacts. Overall my day was great.
