Ideal Group Interns

Today at Ideal was ok. At the beginning of my day Catherine wanted me to put some email address into the website constant contact for the Major League Baseball trade show. After that Catherine wanted me to go into the "Cave" and look at the inventory and tally to see if we have enough stock for all the flyers. That took me to lunch. I just didn't have a regular lunch today...... We had a pot luck today! It was a lot of good food at the event. I got a chance to eat with Jose Perez and talked to him for a while. When I was done with my lunch I got back to work and finished what Catherine asked me to do. Then something I never got a chance do at Ideal was sit in a  sales meeting and see what Ideal actually does and go into detail about it. I thought it was really cool to do that. Overall my day was pretty good. MB

              Today was a very nice day at Ideal. At first I came very early because of a driver switch. So I walked in suspecting the ADMIN's office to be unoccupied. Boy was I wrong because when I entered there was Osmara, Sylvia, and Amanda. There was no computer for me so I was sure that I was going to work in the marketing office. So I went down to the marketing office and I was very wrong again. In the office all the computers were full of workers, but I knew that meant that it was going to be a busy day. So I went to Sylvia and told her that all the computers were full.  She told me that I was going to have to use Frank's computer. I was kind of surprised because I rarely go into Frank's office. So I went in with Sylvia and sat on the throne of Frank. I felt like a hot shot. That’s when I went to work on some labels.  The labels (and some other tasks) took up to lunch to complete. At lunch someone had a whole sort of buffet next to the conference room. I w

Today at ideal was great. I started off my day by making mailing labels for an Major League Baseball contact list that Catherine assigned me which only took a couple of seconds. When I was done with that Catherine wanted me to go through a book of MLB teams and take down their information so that we can contact them to see if they want to use our products. That took me to lunch. At lunch Catherine and I went out to eat. We had a very good lunch. After Lunch I finished up the Information list for Catherine. I spent my birthday very productive at work.  MB

Today was a very productive day. I started out by saying good morning to Amanda. I, then, went to do the billing, but when I had arrived at my desk Catherine asked me to take a picture for the intern page on our website. I took a few minutes to pose for the camera. After, I went to work on this week’s billing since there have been more invoices then usual I had to start fast. While I was doing my work, Amanda called me to her office and asked me if I could wrap some gift for a family for a few minutes before lunch. I learned about and wrapping gifts .When lunch came I had to eat the school lunch, but it’s better than nothing. I didn’t take too long since I had a lot of work finish. After a few hours passed, I had finally finished the billing, but there is always filing to do at Ideal, so I did that for the rest of the day. Also, on Wednesday I had a very fun day since I got to go to Comerica Park and have lunch with the Tigers. It was a night to remember, especially after all the ice

My day at Ideal was pretty good. I started off my day by finishing the list for labels from last week that I didn't get a chance to finish. That assignment took me to lunch. At lunch I got a chance to finish my Latin homework. After lunch I finished the last of the address labels. When I finished that I made an MLB trade show contact list and turned them into email contacts. After that Doug showed me how to put all the MLB trade show emails in to a website called constant contact to be ready to be sent out. Over all my day was nice. My birthday is Monday so I will be at Ideal celebrating. MB

Today was an exciting day. I first waked into Ideal and greeted Sylvia. Then she gave me some assignments. The first one was to print some documents for Loren. I also had to make a media kit for Frank. I made a kit the last day I worked, but that one has been sent out. Sylvia said that when I finished those tasks I then go ask for some more.              I went the marketing office and started the media kit. I went to look in the cabinet of flyers to look for some of the papers I needed and went to my desk. I had four or five necessary papers that I could find. I then looked on the Ideal website for some other inserts. On the website I found three brochures and printed all of them out. I put most of the kit together but I still needed some other things. I wanted to ask Catherine for help but I knew she was on a deadline so I went on my own exploration. I stopped looking because I was spending too much time on one thing so I started another task. I printed out those documents for Lor

Today was great day. I came to Ideal and I asked everybody if they had something for me to do. First, Chelsea had me mail checks and file one PDPM and a hard dollar folder. When I was done Maria wanted me to file, it was a lot of papers to file so it took me a while. Then, Chelsea had me scan and fax papers, it took me the whole day. Michigan CAT brought us lunch, which was amazing. There was barbeque ribs and Mac & Cheese. When my lunch was over I continue scanning and faxing papers and checks. Well, this my last day in Ideal since I’m leaving to Mexico for my Christmas vacation, wish my luck that the plane doesn’t crash. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was an awesome day. When I got to work it was around 9:00 am. I had walked into Sylvia’s office and greeted her. She had told me that Catherine wanted me to help her on a package. When I went to marketing Catherine wanted me to help her with a media kit for Frank Venegas. So for the next 30 minutes or so we had put together a media kit. The kit consisted of things Frank has planned and things that are happening in the company now. Then when I went to Sylvia she had told me I was going to work on the Time Study sheet she made. Last week I had calculated hours for this sheet but now I’m going to put some formulas in it. This lasted until 12:00 and that’s when I took a lunch break.                        Yesterday I had remembered I work today so I went to the near convenience store and bought myself some chips and a juice. Good thing I did that because when I had lunch I was starving. I ate my lunch very fast so I had some extra time. In this extra time I just thought about what

Today was a very busy day. My day started by walking into Ideal and Amanda told me to comeo her office. In her office, we had a talk about my week so far and how I was doing on my school work. I wasn’t so worried since my grades are very good, but I can still do better. After my talk with Amanda I headed to the marketing department and started on the billing for this week to my surprise there was more work to do than usual and the billing took most of my day, but when lunch came Amanda took me to a new restaurant I never heard of and was excited to see what type of food they had. At the restaurant they gave us very small sliders that tasted really good and I ate more than I could handle. After lunch, I want back to my desk and finished all my work. Also, I can’t wait for next Wednesday where I meet the Detroit Tigers. - Jose Perez

Today at Ideal was good. I started off the day by making a Michigan landscape contact list for Catherine. After I finished that I had to find Kmart's in Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa so I can make a contact list for sales manager to contact and market our products. Then it was time for lunch. During lunch I got some of my Latin work done. After lunch I finished up the Kmart contact list. Then I started to make labels for the Michigan landscape list but I didn't have enough time to finish! Next week I will manage my time better so I can get things done. That was my day. MB

           Today was a brain working day. In the morning I walked in and didn't see Sylvia. I knew she was just talking to someone in the office so I tested out the computer. The original computer I was using was not working so I headed to the marketing office. As I walked by I said hello to people in their offices. I got to the marketing division and Catherine gave me a welcoming smile.  I started the computer and logged on just then is when Sylvia came in and gave me an assignment. I was supposed to calculate hours of some people then charge the different companies for each of the hours. It was a long job but it kept me busy.  I worked on that up until lunch. When it was lunch I went to the conference room and ate. Linzie passed by and told me if I wanted some soup she was going to get. I said yes and finished my lunch. I then went to my computer and worked on a spreadsheet Sylvia told me to do. Eventually Sylvia told me i was going to meet some new, important people. I am e

Today was a great day. I started by asking everybody if they had some work for me to do. First Chelsea handed me checks to attached them to their invoices. Then I went with Danny so he can proof them and get those sign by Loren. Lunch came and Chelsea and I went to Loue's, had a great meal. We came back and I started to do my Latin homework. When I was done I file some PDPM folders. The checks were sign so I had to mail them out. JP

Today was a swell day. I started by coming to Ideal a little earlier than usual. First thing I did was to start on the billing for Ideal Setech, which took me all morning. When I finished billing the mail arrived and I got started by sorting the mail by where it’s supposed to go.   When lunch came I had to work on my math since I was having trouble but thanks to Sean I was able to understand everything again. Then, Amanda brought me lunch and we talked about a few things that are coming up and school related issues. After lunch, I went back to work filed for a while and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today at Ideal was pretty good. At the beginning of my day I started to do a mailer contact list for Catherine. That was pretty much my morning. At lunch I ate some hot pockets and tried to get some of my homework done for tomorrow. Amanda assisted me with my history which was very helpful. After lunch I finished doing the mailers Catherine assigned me. When I finished doing the mailers I stamped them and had them to be sent out. When I was finished with that task me and Sylvia talked about school and how I was doing to make sure my grades stay up. All in all my day was good.

                           Today was a good day at the office. My original computer wasn't working so I used the computer next to Doug and behind Catherine. In the morning Sylvia told me to bind some presentations for a company named PCG. I made one copy first to see if the printer was working. It was working so I made four more copies. Once they were printed out I had to bind them and make them nice. Then I made some thank you letters for the sponsors of Cadillac Urban Gardens. I started with it but I had writers block. I could not think of anything to say so I went to my next task which was to write my experiences on Scarcyny Park. After that Sylvia asked me if I wanted to go out and eat lunch with her and some other co-workers. We went to a restaurant named "Oblivion". They had some really good burgers and I learned that by eating one. We came back to the office and I was given some tasks by Sylvia. I finished those and the rest of my day was occupied by little tasks

     Today was my first day back at Ideal after the Thanksgiving break. It was nice seeing everyone again. Had a lot of things to do today at work like mail, do waivers, and file.       Well, during my break I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family and we had a good time. The Next day in the morning I went to the black Friday specials, I am not that crazy to go at midnight. After that I just stayed home and enjoyed my days off, and of course did homework.     Today at Ideal was a busy day for me. I started to help Chelsea on folders and helping her mail checks, after mailing them I had to file the folders. When I was finished Chelsea gave me invoices that had check attached to them. I had to mail them out too and filed the invoices. Lunch came and they brought Jets pizza. Danny saw me and told me to go to his offices and eat with him. We talked about how he can help me to do well in my grades and to start doing good in school. After we finished talking Chelsea had me stamp and m

Today was my first day back at Ideal after the Thanksgiving break. During the break I had a great time. I stayed home most days, and I ate a lot of food. After, Thanksgiving, I stayed up all night to go to black Friday specials and see if anything was worth the waiting in line. Then, I went home got started on my homework and before I knew it, it was time for work.   At work I did the usual, I worked on the billing all day and filed for a while. I then went to lunch and had some cookies. I also watched a game on my phone. Afterwards, I went to do the mail and since it was Monday there was a lot to do. Today was productive day. I came in at Ideal and asked if there was any work I could do. David and I started to do waivers and putting in job numbers and all the information. When we were done Chelsea had fax waivers and some that I had to scan them for her, it took me the whole morning to do them all. Lunch came and they brought Mr. Pita, which I really enjoyed. Lunch was over and I started to do my Latin and Biology homework. When I was done I helped Chelsea to separate checks from the invoices, it took me a while. After that, I had to find PDPM and hard dollars folders and attached them to the invoices. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a very productive day, I not only get my work done but I learned a few things too. I started out by talking to Amanda about my grades and how I was doing in school. After that, I proceeded to my desk where I began to work on the weeks billing. The billing took me a while to finish since there was more than usual. In the middle of my work Frank pulled me aside and gave me a lecture on how I should step my game up to show that I really care about my future and I now have a lot to think about. Then, lunch came and I had a pizza and it tasted great. When lunch was over, I went back to work and that was my day. When I left I went to school to pick up my turkey. JOSE PEREZ

Today at Ideal was a pretty good day. Catherine wasn't here today so Doug and I took over the marketing department. First, Doug wanted me to look through some magazines to see if we can distribute to anybody or if  I see our products. When I finished Doug had me go and look for main distributors in Alabama and Georgia for Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Toyota, and Honda. After that I talked to Frank and Sylvia about school. Then I had lunch. I ate some pizza. A little bit after lunch Osmara came and gave me some advice about school and how she could help me with some of my work. Then she helped me figure out how to do a mailer for a contact list. After that I sent out all the mailers, that was my day. MB

The halls of Ideal were very good today. I first started with a job with my computer. The only problem was that my computer wasn’t starting up! How was I going to do my work? How was I going to succeed in this corporate world? My chances of going to the top were completely ruined. Then I was moved to Catherine's desk and I continued my work. By lunch time Sylvia had told me that we were going out to eat because of a special event. The event dealt with Latina Pride as I would call it. It was nice and we returned at about 2:00pm. The rest of the day went by fast and here I’m writing my blog just about ready to go. This was an awesome day at Ideal. -Chris

Today was a good day. I started by helping Patti putting papers in a folder, it was a easy work. When I finished I asked Chelsea if she had something for me to do, she handed me checks and wanted me to mail them and file the invoices. When I was done I asked Sara if she had something for me to do and she had me separate certificates, it was a big pile so it took me some time. Later, Julie and I were talking about my grades. She asked me what my plan was to get better grades, I told her to study more, do homework, and bust my butt on the classes that I’m having problems with. Lunch came and I ate a Pop Tart since I wasn't hungry. When my lunch was over, Terry made me order reciepts from Home Depot by job numbers, and made me put copy papers in the cabinet. When I finished I went to do my Latin homework. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a typical day at the office. First I entered and set up my computer. I then was told by Sylvia that I was going to make some more labels. I had already known how to print labels so I wasn't nervous. After I had made Labels I was asked to bind some Power Point presentations. So I printed out the presentations and made my way to the binding machine. I had also knew how to bind so this was an easy job for me. I was in the middle of binding when I noticed the time. It was 12:00! I had not realized how fast the day had already gone by. So I put down my things and took a lunch break. As I went to the office Sylvia asked me if I wanted to have lunch together. I gladly accepted and was of to eat. While Sylvia and I were eating we talked about interesting topics such as work or recent books we might have read. The rest of the day I did some basic tasks on the computer and finished my day nicely. This was another good day. - Chris

Today was a very productive day it started out like any other day by grabbing a cup of coffee. After, I started on my weekly billing for Ideal Setech which took most of my morning. Then I went to talk to Amanda about my grades and she was happy to hear that I was doing a well. We also talked about what I should do for the next semester to improve my grades. Afterwards, lunch came but I had to wait a little longer then usual since Linzie was bring it to me. I had a burger and fries which were gone in less than five minutes, I also listened to music. After lunch was over, I started to file and help out Sylvia. Now, I have to get ready for my game. Jose Perez :)

Today was a very good day at Ideal. At the beginning of my day I helped Catherine by making some labels for a Nissan dealership mailer. After that I went through contacts that looked at the fast food eblast we sent out for any good "leads". Then Catherine and I went to go pick up lunch. I had a bacon cheeseburger and I forgot what Catherine had but I'm sure she made a good healthy choice. After my lunch I sent out about 100 mailers to the potential Nissan customers! Then I made another contact list for a Shield sales manager. That was my day! P.S. I'm going to miss Cat-attack next week because I learn a lot from her every time I'm here. MB

Today was a great day. I came to Ideal with a good attitude . I asked everybody if they had something for me to do. Maria didn’t have anything for me to do so I asked Rana and she didn't have anything either. I waited patiently in my desk. Later, Chelsea had me match up invoices with the correct folders that they had. Lunch came and Chelsea and I went to Roman Village , which I enjoyed. We went to work and Chelsea made me check the amount of the checks so everything could be correct and had no mistakes. When it was all done I finally put them in an envelope and mailed them out. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a good day. I came to Ideal and since Linda wasn't here I had to ask anybody from upstairs if they had something for me to do. I asked Maria and she had me match the shippers to the invoices. When I was done I asked Chelsea and she had me put the invoices to the checks, it took me the whole morning to do them. Lunch came and I stayed at Ideal. Since Julie was going to lunch I asked her to bring me something to eat. When I was finished with my lunch I went to www.Mustpuresafety.com and watched what Bob needed me to watch. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was very cold and windy, but it was still a great day. It took longer to get to Ideal Group since I had a different route this morning. I got to Ideal an hour later than usual, I went to go do the billing for Setech but found out there wasn’t any. So I started filing. I filed for the rest of my morning and then went to lunch. At lunch, I had a great time playing Clue with my coworkers, and I even won a game. Then, I went back to work and did the mail. Since there wasn’t that much, I finished easily, and I went to voucher. Today at Ideal Group headquarters was a great day. At the start of my day I sent out some postcards for Catherine, then I went through some magazines to see if our company or companies like ours were in them or not for advertising and distributor opportunities. After that, I looked up to see where Meijer and CVS distribution locations were so she can possible call them and see if they were interested in having our products. After that I ate lunch, Red Barron's pizza,  then I worked on a project for Ideal Surplus Sales; Gary wanted me to update a shipping contact list. And that was my day. MB

Today was an ugly, windy morning. I had to wait for 5 minutes for my ride to come, it was so cold. I came to Ideal wondering who I was going to work with since Linda was gone, but Linda was here today. I asked Linda and Bob if they had something for me to do. Linda wanted me to file and do E-verify and I-9s. Bob needed me to replace a roll from the big printer where they print blueprints. It was kind of hard because Bob taught me this when I began to work this year, but I figured it out. I continue to do the I-9s and E-verify. Lunch came and Linda and I went to McDonald's and got some hamburgers. When I was finished with my lunch I started to do my Latin homework. My homework was done so I worked on the I-9s and E-verify. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a good day since I worked twice in a row I got a head start in my work. Like always I started my day by doing the weekly billing for Ideal Setech. There wasn’t that much to bill since I had already finished most of it the week before. It took me a little while to finish, but I got it done before lunch. After, I went to file for the rest of my morning and then went to lunch. At lunch I looked up the results of the Tiger's game and sadly they didn’t win but they had a great season. I had a sandwich and some gold fish with a glass of water. After, I went to help Setech with the mail and since it was Monday there was plenty to do. Afterwards, I went to talk to Amanda about my weekend and how school is going but we ended up talking about cars which was actually kind of fun. I am looking forward to taking my brother trick or treating for Halloween this Wednesday and hopefully my week goes great. Jose Perez

Today was a very hard, long, and busy day. It all started when I came to Ideal and I had to do this week’s billing. Since it was the first time I was doing it on my own it was different. I had to do a few more steps on the process of my task and it took a little longer than expected. During the time it took me to finish Sylvia pulled me aside and gave me advice on how to greet people. It had me thinking for a little while but I understood her message. After, I took lunch. I had a good time eating my school lunch and doing some school work. When lunch came to an end I went back to work and finished this week’s billing. I then went to look for more work, I filed for the rest of the day. The best part about today is dinner with my friends after work. JOSE PEREZ :)

At the beginning of my day Catherine had me sort a few mailers that had got sent back to us to make sure we updated the contact information.When I was done with that she wanted me to look through some magazines to see if we had some dealers or some products that looked like ours and flag them to see if we can distribute to them. As I get to know the Ideal Shield product line more, it's easier to do this task. Then we reviewed what I found. Then, we went through an industry specific magazine and I gathered potential contacts. Then I had lunch! When I finished my lunch Catherine wanted me to go on the Ideal YouTube page which I've been watching recently and put down all of the views for each of our videos as part of a marketing "analytics" exercise. Can I install a bollard cover yet? Still waiting...and can't wait! MB

Today was a good day. I came to Ideal and started to do I-9s and E-verify papers and put them in the folder. Took me half the morning to do it because there was a lot. When I completed the I-9s I started working on my paper for the folder where we put our blog sheets. I looked up some picture that would represent me in the future and, a good quote. I wanted to do something very different for my quote. I put a quote about a rapper "Eminem", because he was raised in Detroit and also because he had a hard time in his early life. I look up for Eminem because he became one of the greatest rapper alive today. Lunch came and I ate pizza like usual. When I was done with my lunch I started to do my Latin homework which I finished. Then I helped Linda do copies and go downstairs to get checks signed. I was a little down, because this is my last day I’m going to see Linda, knowing that Yesi left and now Linda, things are going to be different next week. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today at Ideal was a cool, normal day. Catherine had me look through some magazine and look on websites to see if we could distribute to anybody we don't distribute to at the moment.She also had me look up contact information for important mailers that will be sent out to future distributors. Then I ate lunch and had some noodles from home. After lunch I got some waters for Sylvia and put them out for an important executive meeting that was about to start! I also helped Abel set up for a NMSDC show, one of the biggest shows of the year for us. It was kind of cool to go to the back building for the first time. i would really like to go back there more often to see how things work. It was really quiet compared to the A building. That was my day. Can't wait for thursday. MB

Today was a very progressive day. I started my day by coming in and talk to Amanda about my school and everything that I’ve done this week. After, I went to go talk to Jennifer about this week’s billing and I was glad to know that half of it was already done; it took me only a few hours to finish the rest. Afterwards I went to help Setech with their filing, which there was a lot of. I spent all my morning finishing it. Then I went to lunch were I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. When I came back from lunch I went to go voucher for Ideal Setech for the rest of the day. Overall my day went great and my work was finished. Also the Tigers are going to the World Series! Today was a pretty laid back day for me. Didn't really do much but just send out some postcards and then Catherine taught me and Doug how to make labels for postcards and mailers.  I also had to move my stuff from the marketing department to the admin department and I got a chance to talk to Amanda and Silvia. At lunch time I had some sweet and sour chicken and a mountain dew. When my lunch was over Catherine had me look up locations in certain states to distribute to. Then the day was over for me. MB

Today was a great day. I started my morning saying good morning to everybody upstairs. Linda had PDPM and hard dollar folders, so I had to file them. When I was done she had me scan papers to her and helped her do timesheets. Then I went to my computer, well actually, Linda's computer, but I went to this website called "mustbsafe" that Bob wanted me to see and take a test like last time. Few hours passed and Bob needed me to blueprints and put them in order. Lunch came and I had pizza that Linda brought. When I was done with my lunch time I started to do my Biology homework. Then Linda had me do I-9s and do 'new hire reporting' on www.mi-newhire.com . It tooked me all afternoon. Overall my day went greate. Im looking foward for this week. JP

Today at The Ideal Group everything went great and was productive. I started out with a good attitude because yesterday we won our last game and I was really excited to come into work. I started doing what I do every time I come into Ideal; doing the billing for Ideal Setech. I poured myself a cup of coffee and got to work. While I was working Linzie pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to go to lunch with her in a few hours and I agreed. Before I knew it, it was time for lunch. We went to a place called Mercury burger bar where I had a really good burger and chili cheese fries. After we came back to Ideal and I went to go file Invoices for Setech, I had a talk with Amanda about my grades. When I had finished talking to Amanda Kowalski I went back to my desk and started doing the billing for next week to get a head start. Another day at Ideal was great! Did some mailers for Catherine and I also updated the contact database for her. After I did that I helped Ideal Surplus Sales out by updating pictures so that they can be uploaded to their ecommerce website. Immediately after that I went to lunch and had some Chinese food that I brought from home. When lunch was over I put together a thank you Cadillac Urban Gardens vegetable bag for The Detroit Zoo workers that helped refurbish the garden today. And that was my day.  MB

     Monday was a excited and busy day. I was so busy that I’m doing it today. I started to do E-verify and I-9s a almost all the morning. First I had to check if the employee paper work paper had a folder. Some did, some not. We had a hard time doing E-verify because it wouldn’t let me go to the website. But I fixed it later on the day. Since some employee didn’t have a folder, I had to make one for them and file them. Lunch came and Linda and I went to McDonalds. I had a McChicken and a small soda. We went back, and Jennifer Torres wanted me to do blueprints for her. It was a busy day but I had fun.         Today I went in to Ideal and filed almost all morning. It was kind of stressful because I couldn’t find papers that matched with the other papers. When I was finished I was filing new hired folders for Linda. Today was a good day at Ideal Group but because of my game the night before I felt a little tired. Even though I was tired I managed to keep good attitude. I started out by helping Ideal Setech with the billing for this week and that took most of my morning. When lunch came me and Amanda went out to eat. We had food at Nuestra Familia a little Mexican restaurant in Detroit and had a good talk about school. After I came back to Ideal, I started to voucher and Amanda brought cake since it was Linda’s birthday and it was a nice treat. Then I went to start on my cover photo for my blog binder and thought hard about what I want to represent who I am. It took me a while but I decided to do something that relates to who I might be in the future. After I went back to vouchering and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today was a good day. At the beginning of the day i was sending out the weekly mailer when all of a sudden....Frank came into the marketing office and said hi to me. It was really cool to meet Frank. He was chill today but he was very outgoing. its not what I expected out of him from all the stories I have heard but he did yell Sylvia's name which was funny to hear. After that I finished the mailers and also made some postcards that were going to be sent out. The one thing that I learned today was that when sending out a mailer you have to make sure the letters are the correct way. MB

Today is Thursday October 4, 2012..... Today was the day when monkeys took over Michigan. Me and a few other people at Ideal Group where able to escape from danger. I don't know how this happened but this is a very tragic event. I don't know why I'm blogging right now while all this is going, I see it on movies so I thought this would be a good thing to do. NAWW!!! Just kidding, everybody here at Ideal Group is ok and so is the state of Michigan! Today went well, did some postcards for "Cat Attack", my marketing supervisor, and also sent out some of the NEW mailers for her. I also went through some magazines and looked for things that Ideal Shield could promote. After that, I made a collage for my blogs and it is AWESOME! Then the system crashed! HOW people could keep working...I have no idea. But that's the Ideal life. MB *Best Hooper Ever*

Today went great. Today went by fast for me, maybe because I was busy working all day. I came to Ideal and started by saying good morning to everybody like usual. I went to Julie's office and started to prepare my laptop that I use. I asked Julie if she has any work for me to do, she said to ask Linda and Bob because she didn’t have any work for me yet. I went with Linda and she had me do filing, it took me half the morning. Then, I had to make folders for newly hired people. Chelsea had PDPM and hard dollar so I went and file them all. Lunch came and ate pizza, which was good. When I was done eating Kevin Foucher needed me to do something for him. He had me do blueprints and put them in order. I had to do them fast because he was going to a meeting. He came and help me staple them together. My work for him was done so I went back to Linda and started to do I-9's and E-verify. When I was done, I started to do my homework and finished it. Overall my day went great. jp

This weekend I went to do some community work at Dean Savage Park.   I had lots of fun cleaning up the park and making it look better than before.   We had pizza for lunch that day and I had never felt more relief to eat in my life. The next day I went to pay my phone bill and watch a movie with my little brother. When Monday came I went to work at Ideal it was a typical day as always I started by having a short talk with Amanda about school and what I did over the weekend.   After, I went to go help Setech vouchering some invoices and worked in the marketing office and said hey to Catherine and Doug. I then proceed to my desk and began my work. I vouchered all morning and then had a little break doing the mail but since it was Monday there was a lot to do. After I went to lunch and had a good time doing my homework. When lunch came to an end I went to do the mail again and work on some more stuff for Ideal Setech and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today was a usual day at Ideal Group I started out helping Ideal Setech with the billing. It took me most of the morning to do but I got it done before lunch. After I went to go see Linzie for a little project she had me do in sugar and then had lunch. At lunch we had a little barbeque out at the shop and I had lots to eat. I had chicken, beans and rice. I was completely full but soon enough had to go back to work. After lunch I went to go talk to Yehya about vouchering in Symix. I learned how to enter things into the program and also did the mail. After I went to work on States as an Intern and that was my day. jose p

Today was a busy day. I started out helping patti, she had me do folders for insurance certificates. I had to split all 2011, 2012, and 2013 papers and put the 11's and 12's together and put the 13's in another folder. It took me all day to finish it. I put a said that and started to help Linda on time sheets and put them in order. Lunch came and they brought pizza, it was a good meal. When I was finished eating, I started to continue the time sheets. The time sheets were done so I quickly started to finish the folders. Than, since I finished all my work I started to do my homework for a while. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a sad day for me. One of my good friends that I was just starting to get to know at school died Saturday. It was a very tragic incident for me, her family, and everybody at the school. At work today I started off by putting together some mailers for Catherine, making a list of Meijer and Target locations for future mailers in Indiana. After that, I  ate some lunch. After lunch, I started to delete ebay items for Gary and Ideal Surplus Sales and  I am currently doing that now. All together today was ok, but not the best. MB

Today was a very productive day. I started out my day working on Ideal Setechs billing for the week. While I was working on the invoices Amanda asked me about my school work and how I was doing. I told her that I was doing alright and turning in all my work. Then we went on talking about what is expected of me this year. After that I went to lunch and had a good bowl of soup. I worked part of my lunch to get worked done but had a good time. When lunch was over I went back to work and Frank arrived. Frank had told me to talk to him so I did just that.   Today went great. I started out by helping Linda on some PDPM and hard dollar folder and file them. When I was done I helped Linda scan papers to her e-mail so she could send them out. It tooked me half the morning to complete this. I finished with the scanning and I started  to put time sheets in order so Linda could begin her payroll. Lunch came and I ate something that Linda brought. When I was done eating Katherine came and gave me this sheet that I needed to fill out. It had questions about what I’m looking forward to learn this year and the best word to describe me. I finished with the paper and I continued to do PDPM and hard dollars and filing. Today was a very busy day for me I started out working on some invoiceing for Ideal Setech. I am still getting used to doing it so I had many questions. I spent most of my time walking back and forth from my desk to Jennifer's. When lunch came, I had some very good soup in a cup. The best part about lunch was that I got to play clue with Sean and Amanda. I didn’t now how to play clue that well, so I really didn’t win but I will next time. After lunch I went help Ideal Setech complet the rest of the invoices! Then I went back to my desk to finish my work and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today was a good day (ice cube voice). Catherine and Doug weren't here today :( but it was cool to go to a different work field to see what other people do here at Ideal. I did some things for Gary and Amanda S. which wasn't to hard for me to do but it was cool. After I did their work I went to lunch with Amanda S. and some others. I had this AWESOME steak quesadilla with cheese, so good. Then after lunch I helped  Amanda Kowalski with making 401k letters and stamping them. Then I helped ya ya out with opening mail for the people in the accounts payable department, and I filed which was a pain. All in all it was a great day and I can't wait to come back.

Today was a good day. I started out by helping Linda filing new hired folders and papers that had personal information, If they had replicas I had to shredded them. When I was done i did some PDPM. Bob needed me to do something for him, put extra papers in the blueprints. When I was finished, since I didn't have any task to do Linda had me file papers all morning. Lunch came and I had a good meal. When I was done I went back to filing. The mail came and I went and did it. I was excited today because tomorrow they are giving us the Chromebooks in school to use it in class. And maybe expecting some homework for tomorrow night.Overall, my day went great. JP

I finished half of Linda's filing, because Bob needed me to do something for him. Bob gave me two papers and he wanted me to check if both paper matched up with the numbers. It was something new so I enjoyed it. When I was finished with Bob stuff I head back to Linda office and continued doing the PDPM and hard dollar. When I finished Bob wanted me again. He wanted me to go to his computer and entered some numbers to a list. It was fun because he has a big computer. Lunch came and I ate a good pizza. When I was done, I went back to Lindas and she had some hired papers so I check if they had I-9s and E-Verify. If they didn't I made files for them. I finished the day by doing the mail. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was my first day at Ideal Group and it went well. I started out by helping Sean enter some invoices into MAS. Took me a little while to remember how to do but I managed to finish it very well. After, I went to start on my new job helping Ideal Setech enter and bill invoices I went step by step trying to figure out how it all worked and how to do it right.  I did that all day until lunch came I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It felt awkward having lunch for the first time at Ideal since I haven’t had it in a long time but after I went back to work. When I went back to my desk I resumed my task entering invoices and billing for Ideal Setech and I started to get the hang of it. When my work was done and ready I went to turn it in and that was my day.

   Today was my first day at Ideal. I was pretty excited to work again, but I didn't miss it much because I worked here in the summer. Tomorrow is going to be the first time in school. I already have my schedule and everything ready for this year.     I'm looking forward to this year, because we have new teachers and off course the Google chrome Books and maybe it could help me to improve. The school got bigger too, now we own the other half and have more space to walk in the hallways. I'm excited and nervous today because we have our second soccer game versus Henry Ford, I hope we win. Well, today I went to Ideal and started to do PDPM and hard dollar folders and filed them, there was a big pile so I knew it was going to take me a while to finish. When I was done Linda had me make new employee folders and do E-Verify and registered them in the State Of Michigan. Today was great. I came in to Ideal and started off by doing PDPM and hard dollar folders and filed them for Linda. When I was finished Linda had me stamp, and mail checks. When I was finished Linda and I were putting checks in different groups for each job site so they can pick them up. Since Yesi was gone Linda had me scan time sheets to her. Linda needed to go too so she took me to McDonald's for my lunch. We came back and Linda left. Then Sarah had me do mail and stamp them. When I was finished Frank told me to go talk to him. When I went downstairs Frank told me he was going to get me into the Union. I was really happy because that was my goal on working here. I hope it goes well once I start working there. I finally did it. JP

Today was my last day at Ideal it was fun. I had lots to do and had a great time. My bus came early so now I got to go.

Considering that this is technically my last day of work, you would think that everyone would take the work load easy on me, but no. Actually, today was even busier than usual. It seemed as if everyone was trying to get as much work in by me as they could before I left. Nevertheless, I got as much as I could done and it doesn't even feel like it's my last day. Everything was like any other day. I came in and did Temp-scan for Gary, twice today though. Then, when Jennifer surprisingly had nothing for me to do, I went up to Yesi, and she had a lot for me to do. The thing about the assignment Yesi had me doing is that, its locked in as soon as you put it in, there's no going back, so you have to be precise and perfect. Anyway, after I did everything Yesi had for me, I came and received some work from Catherine. I received two find-this-information-and make a spreadsheet-out-of-it assignments, which are always hard. Today went great. I entered Ideal and Linda had me do checks, seal them, and stamp them. When I was finished Linda had to go at a meeting so she had me in charge of making sure I put checks in different groups for each jobsite so they can take them. She came back and we finished the rest of them. After, Yesi was leaving so she gave me task to file some papers and make new hired worker folders and file them. Lunch came and they brought Jets pizza, it was a good meal. I started to do my chemistry homework, and I finished. Later, Linda had me do PDPM and hard dollars files. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today went well I started out by helping Sean with some invoices that needed to be entered into the computer. After I went to go help marketing update their Ideal websites and find things that needed to be changed. When lunch came me and Amanda went to eat Mexican food and had a great time talking about life and how people grow. When I came back I went to see if Contracting needed any help but they were to over worked and didn't need any. After I went to help Gary and that was my day.

I started off my day with an interview with Channel 7, then I came to work, I began to work on the excel sheet that Yvette and I are creating for future volunteers. Then I, transferred tasks. I helped Yvette with a diagram of the Urban Garden. She organized each bin with what was planted inside of it. I continued with that task throughout my day. I also helped Sean out with checks. We had a meeting at noon with Tony, we talked about scholarships and he gave us some good tips for college. Overall my day was good. Four years ago I walked into Ideal Group as a freshmen. I was really scared and nervous. I did not know what to expect from this. My experience at the Ideal Group has been a rewarding one. I've learned so much through the work study program. I've become a more responsible person. I learned a lot of skills that will help me out through my college life. Detroit Cristo Rey High School has put me on the right path. Today I started off my day making event folders for Amanda. Then I started on a project with Yvette. I helped her research universities that contain an agriculture program and that would be willing to do some volunteering with the Cadillac Urban Garden. Throughout the project, Yvette gave me some good tips on how to research better. We found great organizations, but we're striving for more so the project will continue. I went to lunch with Hilary to El Rancho. I had a great lunch. Then after lunch I came back and continued on the project. Then I shifted project and continued on my powerpoint slides for Scarcyny Park. Overall my day was great. Tomorrow is my last day as an intern at Ideal. Class of 2012!

Today moved pretty quickly for me. I came in pretty early, and did Temp-scan for Gary, as always. After that, I went to Jennifer, like I always do when I'm in need of work, and got a bunch of papers to file. When I was done, Keli had me look into information about Retail stores and make a spreadsheet out of the information I gathered. After a while, I finished that, and went upstairs to have a chat with Yesi and Linda. When I came back down, Keli had me do a mail  merge. When that was done, my day was done. Today was a good day. I came in Ideal and helped Linda on checks so she can hand them out to the employees. It took us most of the morning doing them because she had too much to do. Since my research paper is due on Friday I asked Linda if I could work on it. I was focusing on my paper and had to do 4 to 6 pages, depends on how much we want to write. I took my time but at the same time I helped Linda on scanning, mailing checks and PDPM papers. Lunch came and Linda and I went to get pizza for the people that were working in the park. We order 4 boxes, and gave them 3, and Linda and I took 1 for us. We went back to Ideal and continued doing my research paper, I took a break and Linda handed me PDPM folders to file. I finished and finally I was done with my paper, later Linda checked my paper and she helped me to correct some mistake. Overall, my day went great. JP

After that I went to go help marketing with a list about the top 100 companies in America they need to be done. When lunch came I went to go get lunch with Amanda and had a good conversation about softball and soccer. When we came back I went to work on the list and that was my day.
