Ideal Group Interns

Today has been a really long day for me. I had a lot to do and on top of that it was the last day before Christmas break so time was going by very slow. I started my day off with a cup of coffee and a fresh pair of drawings to plot out. It took me a while to get that done since they had to be converted to PDF’s but nothing I couldn't handle. Afterwards Amanda came to visit me in the conference room and said she had a gift for me. I was really surprised but I knew it was going to be something good since she has good taste and knows what I like. I wasn't disappointed it was a really soft and awesome V-neck sweater that I’ll be wearing on Christmas day. I was really happy and grateful to have someone like her in my life she’s like a big sister to me.                 My day was going great but it only got better for lunch I was going to eat the lunch from school but Chris offered to buy the guys upstairs Pizza. I had the best dip dish pizza ever and I was full. Afterwards I went

Today was a good day, although it went by fast. I came to Ideal an the first thing I saw was material checks on my desk. It wasn’t a lot of checks so I knew it wasn’t going to take me a lot of time, so I took my time to finish it. When I was done, I went to Chelsea to tell her there were missing invoices for three checks. She then helped find them. When I was done I went and filed PDPM and hard dollar folders. Lunch came and I went downstairs to join Jose Perez.         For lunch I had a sandwich and later they brought pizza. When I was finished with my food, Jose and I had a good talk. It was one o’clock so I went upstairs and continued working on my task.         When I was done filing PDPM and hard dollar folders I ran out of stuff, I saw that Bonnie had a stack of invoices to mail, so I went and did that. When I was done mailing out the invoices I started to file other invoices. When I was done Julie gave me a card that everyone signed that said “Merry Christmas” which was

Today when I got to work, I asked Alex for some scans. When I finished the scans, I went to Amanda, so that she could sign a paper. I helped Sylvia put some stuff in her friend's car. I asked Amanda if I could go upstairs and ask people for some work and she said I could. I asked Bonnie if she needed some help, she assigned me to do some labels and to mail some  envelopes. I finished in a hour and took the extra envelopes to Bonnie. Amanda asked me if I could take something upstairs for her, when I went upstairs I met Yesi. I helped Virginia set up the food for the Potluck. After I helped Virginia, I asked Alex for some more work and she gave me some letters to mail out. I did only 5 and then it was time for lunch.  Today was the Potluck day and the workers brought food. I ate some many different foods that I felt like going to sleep at the end, but I didn't.  My favorite desert was the dirt pudding. After lunch I finished mailing out the letters. Today is my last day at Ideal before Christmas break so I won’t be back until next year. I will miss coming to work and seeing some of my co-workers. Today I didn’t have the chance to interview Amanda Kowalski because she was pretty busy so we rescheduled for when I come back. This morning I filed for Setech and then I had the privilege to help Theresa with something new today. I helped her email request to customers for their tax except certificates. Towards the afternoon I vouchered for Setech on Symix. It was something I hadn’t done in a while but after I vouchered a couple of them I got the hang of it. Today I had a very great lunch. Tri Star Steel, one of our vendors, provided lunch. It was really good and I ate a lot of pasta and salad. My mom also made tamales that I brought in for everyone. They seemed to have enjoyed them so I’ll make sure to bring more sometime after my Christmas break. Overall it was a very amazing day at work.

Today went great. I came to Ideal and said good morning to everyone upstairs. I saw Julie come in, it was good seeing her since I haven’t seen her this past 2 weeks. As soon as I got to my desk I saw material checks. It was not a lot to do, so I took my time doing them. When I was done with material checks I started to file invoices from last Friday. Half way done, I took my lunch.             For lunch, I went downstairs with Jose Perez. This time we were in Amanda’s office, which was weird because we usually eat in the conference room. We had a good talk about college and work. Later on, Osmara came and joined us. We had a good lunch break. It was time to get going so I went upstairs and continued my task.             When I was finished filing the invoices, I started to mail out invoices for Bonnie since she wasn’t here in the afternoon. When I walked into the door I saw Amanda at her desk. I went to say hello and had a talk with her about grades and me getting accepted into Lawrence Tech University. I was really excited because that’s the first big school I got accepted too. I just start thinking about my future and the person I will become and the places I’ll be. After thinking about it for a while I think Lawrence Tech is my first choice of college. When I was finished talking to Amanda I went to work on some plotting for Tony. I had a lot of convert some DWG into PDF so I had a busy morning. The shop wanted four copies of drawing now so it was a longer process than usual I had to organize staple and give all the drawing out so that they could get their work done. I also knew that I was going to be working on the job myself since I was going to work this weekend.         I heard it was going to snow five inches of snow so I better get myself ready for the cold.   When I got here I went to my desk and then Sylvia told me that Virginia would have something for me to do. Later Amanda told me that I was going to go to Academy of the Americas with Alex and Osmara. Virginia wanted my help to set up the Christmas tree. We set up the tree and we started putting up ornaments. Osmara came and told me we were going to go to the school. I helped out by passing some presents to the kids in the school. After 2 hours we went back to Ideal Group.For lunch I had a sandwich, apple, and some yogurt.   After lunch I finished putting up the ornaments on the tree. Sylvia asked me to put some items away. After I finished, I went back to my desk and started to write my blog. My computer wasn't working right, so I went to go ask Osmara if I could use her laptop so I can write my blog. Amanda told me to go to ask the marketing office if I can use the computer. This was how my day was.  What would I do if I had a limo for the whole day with my best friend?  I wo

Jacqueline Perez- December 10, 2013 It has been an interesting day. I did a lot of different things. I filed first thing in the morning for Setech. After that I helped Theresa with mailing customers invoices which is something I really like to do because it’s more hands rather than working on the computer. Then I continued finishing the list of Florida tax exception certificates. I also helped Theresa sort and deliver the mail to different people and departments like Contracting upstairs, Frank’s mail, checks for Theresa, Shield and Setech invoices. I then filed again for Setech again in the afternoon. I am planning on interviewing my next co-worker from accounting next Tuesday which will hopefully be Amanda Kowalski. Finally for lunch I had peanut butter and jelly sandwich, apple juice and carrots that I really enjoyed.

Today was a busy Friday. I Came to Ideal and the first thing I saw was the material checks on my desk. It was a lot to do, so I went and did them ASAP. While I was doing them, Bonnie wanted me to mail out invoices, so pretty much it slowed me down a little. When I was done mailing out invoices, I continued doing material checks. I had lunch early, I went to the bending machine and got myself some snacks since I didn’t bring my school lunch. When I was done eating, Terry and I had a good conversation and what I was doing this weekend. Mostly my brake went great with Terry, we always have good laughs. It was one o’clock so I went to my desk and continued my task. I was done with material checks which was good. Then I went to file PDPM and hard dollar folders since I didn’t have anything to do. Another wonderful day at Ideal Group where my day went by very fast. I started my day with a cup of coffee and a bagel. You can say that my morning was pretty great. I was looking for some work, so I went upstairs to talk to Stephen he gave me some drawings to plot out and I was ready to get some work done. I went to the printer but unlucky it was out of paper. I changed the paper then went on with my task.                 Afterwards, I went to lunch and had a really good talk with Osmara. We talked about school and just life in general. It was nice having someone to talk to while I ate my cookies. I then went back to work and Tony gave me a few tasks. I got that done and went to the accounting office for more work.    My day started off by doing some scans for Alex. Alex sent me a lot of scans. While I was working, Amanda told me that Bonnie needed my help with something. When it was 10, I went upstairs to Bonnie. Bonnie wanted me to wrap wine bottles, put them in a gift bag, and tie them in a bow. I started working and when it was 12 I went downstairs for lunch    For lunch I had a sandwich, apple and some Cheetos. During lunch, I told Osmara what I was doing. After lunch I went upstairs to finish my work. While I was working my back started to hurt and I started to sweat. After I finished I went to go tell Bonnie and she told me that I did a great job and she gave me some candy. Chris Lara 12/3/13 Today’s tour was jaw dropping. I, along with some other students, had the opportunity to receive a tour from Jessica I Lilley, an Environmental Engineer, at the General Motors Orion Assembly Center. We began by greeting one another. After I introduced myself, we went on a cart that drove us around the whole plant. We first had to see a safety PowerPoint on what we can and cannot do. It was short, so Jessica answered some questions that we had. After, we had lunch and moved onto the tour. The first thing we saw was the initiation line. This was a line full of robotics that were welding the first part of the car. This part was the belly/ front of the car and supported many of the future parts that would be added. We then moved onto the body parts such as the rear wheel holders and side door holders. These were brought up by robotic machines and placed by human workers. Jacqueline Perez- December 3, 2013             It was good coming back to work because I really do like my job but I also like school. I had the privilege to interview Kelly and work with something new. I worked with Theresa today and I’m glad I did because I learned something new. I learned how to update customer tax exempts status and  prepare information.             For lunch I went to a Mexican restaurant called “Mexican Village” with Amanda, Theresa and Kelly. I got burritos and they were really good. I almost got locked in Amanda’s car and everyone thought it was really funny, including me. For the most part lunch was great today.             Today, I did my third interview and I interviewed Kelly. I got to learn more about the different jobs she has within the company. I asked Kelly about the jobs she performs and she said that she works in accounts payable for Ideal Setech, shipping and billing for Ideal Shield and is the person that takes care of the fish tank in Fran

Chris Lara 12/2/13 A new level of pride appears.             I began the day with a few small tasks. I checked my email, returned emails, and researched a local garden. My research began with Sylvia handing me a magazine with a special article inside. The article described a community garden that was being recognized for its great achievement in its neighborhood. A student from UM-Dearborn started the garden with a couple of friends trying to clean up a lot. As the residents started to observe over time, they began to help the students. Eventually, they were allowed to begin a garden with the help of volunteers. I looked up the location and informed Sylvia.             After, I began updating the 2014 calendar based on Cadillac Urban Gardens. The calendar was claimed ‘weak’ by Frank; who gave Amanda and Sylvia an idea to what they needed to improve on. They told me to include some facts about the garden. Jacqueline Perez December 2, 2013 Today is my Monday rotation.  I like coming to work so I don’t mind coming an extra day throughout the week.  I was really busy today since it’s the Monday after Thanksgiving break.  I worked with something new while I helped Theresa. I learned how to attach customer credit approvals to each individual customer account. I also learned how to attach customer remittance onto their invoices. Tomorrow I also come to work since it’s my regular work day and I hope to interview someone from the accounting office that I haven’t interviewed yet.

Chris Lara 11/26/13 I disbursed my knowledge today. I walked into the office knowing my main task for the day. A German film crew, Galileo TV, came from Munich, Germany to shoot a documentary of Detroit and its great progressions throughout the community. I prepared my clothes for the cool temperature, and I went to the Garden. When we arrived, Sylvia told me to stage some tools and to prepare for the crew. When the group arrived, Sylvia and I greeted them. They proceeded to interview some of the people that have worked in the garden such as John Bradburn, Sylvia Gucken, Sarah Clark, and me. I harvested vegetables while I waited for my interview. When it was my turn, I gave a complete answer to the question being asked. Today was a very slow day. The day felt like it was taking forever to finish. I started my morning by saying hi to everyone in the Admin office and then headed upstairs. I asked for my tasks and got to them as soon as I could. I plotted out a few things and then went to convert some files to PDF’s. It took most of my morning but I was glad it was lunch time. For lunch Osmara, Alex, and I went to Panera and got some soup and sandwiches. I had a really good tuna salad sandwich and some chips. I was full and ready to go home but I had some work to do. When lunch came to an end I went back to my desk and checked my email. Since Tony wasn’t here I didn’t have many emails to check but still kept myself busy. I went down to the Accounting office for some work. I started to help Jennifer and Kelly with the Ideal Setech filing and there were a few to do. Today was a busy Monday at Ideal, mostly I did filing all day, mailed out invoices and checks and went to a meeting with Julie and Kevin. I came to Ideal and I started to file invoices that I left on my desk from last Friday. It took me a while, since it was a big stack of invoices. When I was done there was PDPM and hard dollar folders that I needed to file. When I was all done with my task I went to the conference room with Julie and Kevin to see what they were talking about. They were going through jobs and projects they have been working on and making sure how much money they were spending, they were also making some corrections. Lunch came and we had Pizza again, I can’t complain, food is food but pizza every day is no good for you, so I tried not to eat a lot. Jose wasn’t here today so I just stayed at my desk and had my lunch there. There were more invoices to file, so I continued filing. Today was a busy and a slow day. I came to Ideal and started to do material checks as soon as possible, since it was a lot of checks. I mostly spent my morning doing them. I had little tasks I had to do, like mailing and filing folders, which slowed me down. For lunch they order pizza but it came early, so I ate earlier then usual. When I was done it was already twelve, I brought papers that Amanda gave me early in the week to sign. I had a few blanks because I didn’t know what to put. I went to her office and she helped me. Today went by very fast. Ideal Group was the same always and I headed towards my desk. I had some prints to do before I could do anything else I got that done. First, I took the drawings to Abel and made sure everything was correct. After I went to talk to Eddy out in the shop about what we were going to for work the next day. He said he would find out and let me know. I then went back to the office and did some filing for Ideal Setech. I then went to lunch and it went very well I had pizza with the guys in the shop and had a talk about a few things. I then went to sit with Jose and talked about plans for the weekend. I was excited to see what was going to happen this weekend so I can make plans. When I went back to work Tony emailed me to get some drawing plotted for him. While I was upstairs I met Dave.   When I went downstairs Osmara asked me to make some copies of a CD. After I made the copies Osmara told me to put covers on the CD's. While I was working on the CD's, I went to go ask Osmara a question, when I was heading to Osmara, Sylvia stopped me so I can Introduce myself to a guest. I met Jason Stocker, who works at SKF. Chris Lara 11/19/13 I had a clear day today.             My tasks were very clear today, so I had no problem starting. When I checked my email I saw a message from Sylvia. She wanted me to call her in the morning when I arrived. As we were talking on the phone, she gave me many brief tasks to complete throughout the day. Today went by quick, maybe because I was busy all day. I started to file PDPM and hard dollar folders. It took me a while but I finished it. Today felt like it took forever. I had plenty of things to do and no matter how much I got done it seem like there was no end. I started my day with a cup of coffee to get myself energized and ready. I headed towards my desk and did my work.                 When lunch time came I really didn't do much I didn't like my lunch so I barely touched it. Half way into my lunch Able came in and offered me his sandwich, it looked really good so I decided why not and ate it. Lunch went by very fast so I went back to work and went to print out some drawings.                 The printer ran out of paper so I had to change it but it was no big deal since I've always had to because I print a lot of things. After all my papers where printed I went downstairs to update our job list and everything that had to be worked on. Overall my day was

 When I got here, I started working on the mailers from Monday. I finished them in 15 minutes and then I made them into labels. I went to Amanda to ask her what postcard she wanted me to put the labels on. She wasn't in her desk and I asked Sylvia where was she and Sylvia told me she went to Staples. I went back to my desk and then I asked Alex for some scans.    The scans only took me 45 minutes. After I finished I went to the bathroom and when I got out, Mike told me that Amanda was looking for me. I went to Amanda and she told me that she wanted the black postcard that had Ideal Surplus on it. I put the labels on the postcards and stamp them. I went to ask Sylvia if she had work for me and she asked me to organize the pantry. After I finished it was time for lunch.   For lunch, me and Osmara went to Burger King and I got 2 fry burgers and 1 large fries. While we were eating, Frank told us we were eating garbage. Jacqueline Perez-11.12.13             It has been a pretty busy day for me here at Ideal. I learned new things but didn’t get to interview anyone today since everyone was pretty busy. I had the privilege to help Teresa with mail today. I helped her fold papers, seal envelopes and use the mail machine. I liked it, it was easy.  I also worked with Jennifer today. I filed a little for Defiance in the morning and Warren in the afternoon. Then I did some Setech billing, and created invoices for Chrysler, for the Chrysler invoices I had to do them in their website. Apart from getting a paper cut it was a good day. 

Chris Lara 11/12/13 I worked on my consistency skills today.             I began the day’s tasks with my email. I checked my recent messages and moved onto the real deal. When Sylvia came in, I listened to her speak. She told me my daily tasks as I wrote them down. I was going to work on a future garden event, create a flyer, and work with my networking skills. I began as soon as we concluded the talk.             I began on the event for Cadillac Urban Gardens. There was going to be a clean-up of the vegetables in the bins, and I had to make an event for the calendar. I sent this event to many of the people who are associated with the garden such as local residents and helpful community organizations. I was glad to work out the logistics of this event and continued on the other tasks.             Then, I worked on my networking skills. Jacqueline Perez- 11.5.13             Today was very interesting. Many things happened today, like going out for lunch and interviewing someone from the accounting office.             In the morning I vouchered. Towards the afternoon I filed. For Christopher’s birthday, Sylvia Christopher and I went out for lunch to a nice restaurant called O’blivions. I had a very good sandwich and I really enjoyed my lunch.             After lunch, I was assigned the task to interview someone form the accounting office. I chose Jennifer this week because it’s the person I work most with. I learned more about what she does and how her job works. I asked her what exactly your job is; she said it is a senior account analyst for ideal Setech. “What is your favorite part of your job?” I asked her. Jennifer said it was problem resolution, she also said that it was the hardest part of her job as well. My day started off by doing some scans. While I was doing the scans, I noticed that the scans were already in the system. I told Alex and she told me that someone probably did them, so she sent me different ones. After I finished the scans, I went to Sylvia for some work. She told me to get the binder in the corner and take out every paper. After I finished, Sylvia asked me to take some posters of Cadillac Urban Gardens to the cave, put a note on them, and to send a email to Christopher and Osmara, so they can know. After I finished I went to Amanda for some work and she assigned me some mailers to do.     I did some mailers for 15 minutes and then I went to lunch. For Lunch I had a sandwich, crackers, and applesauce. After lunch I went back to work. While I was working on the mailers, Sylvia asked me to pass out some mugs to the employees. Today was a very, very busy day. I was all over the place because I had so much to do and so little time. I decided to calm down and think of a plan to get everything done. I started to take the hard task first and work on the little ones in between the work. I started by printing some drawing and while they were being printed working on the excel sheets and get everyone what they need. After a while Frank arrived so I got to talk to him about what I’m going to do after I graduated from high school. He said I have a lot of opportunity’s so to keep my grades up. I had a lot to think about and have to get myself together for the things that going to come.                   After, I went to lunch and thought about all the things in my head and was happy to know that my grades were doing very well. My goal is to do even better by next card marking and achieve a 4.0. I then went back to work and had a lot to do but I was able to finish it. I can’t wait to see what I have for myself in t

Today was an interesting Friday. I came to Ideal and I started of by filing PDPM and hard dollar folders. Usually it takes me a while to do them but it was a small pile. When I was done filing the folders I started to help Bonnie mail and file invoices. While I was filing the invoices Loren came up to me and we had a conversation about college and my grades. When I was done filing, lunch came so I went downstairs to join Jose Perez in the conference room. We ate our lunch and we had a good talk. Sylvia came and congratulate us for our good grades. I was glad I had good grades but I wasn’t as satisfied as I could have been, I could of done better, but I’ll make sure that happens next time. It was time to get to work so I went upstairs. There were more folders to file so I went and did that very quickly. I ask Maria if she had anything for me, sadly she didn’t but she said Katy had some shippers to be file. 11/07/13 Zach Great worker is one of how I would describe Zach. He engaged his career very seriously. He always around in surplus, because his responsible to all his work. He looks like he got everything under control. I kindly suggest him as great role model and it great working with him. He would often be around re-organizing the boxes, like me. Or he is on the computer to try on labeling the small or large containers. That’s why when he either sitting down, Zach is always busy.

After I finished the scans, Amanda assigned me a assignment to do. She told me to wait because she had to talk to someone. I went to Sylvia for some work, she told me she had nothing for me to do. Sylvia asked Bonnie to take me upstairs to do some work. I did some filing upstairs. After I finished I went downstairs to get ready for lunch.   For lunch I went to Burger King with my sister and I got 3 fry burgers and 1 large fries. After lunch I went back to my desk and started writing my blog. I waited for Amanda to come back from lunch, because I needed help on the assignment she gave me. She told me what to do and I started working. While I was working Frank called me to his office. He gave me some shoes. Chris Lara 11/5/13 Today was extraordinary . I began the day in a very excited mood. Today was my birthday! I turned 15 years old. With all my joy, I checked my email. Sylvia had not sent me any major tasks so I revised my backlog while I waited for her. When Sylvia came in, I took notes on what she wanted me to do. I was going to research some tips on garlic growing, plan my blog for the day, and update a list of contacts. I began with the easiest which was the blog. Sylvia talked to me about my plans for the day and she set me on the topic of improving. She described to me that I would not learn if I wasn’t improving. She told me I was going to make a list of things that I need improvement while I was 14. This seemed like a great idea so I began immediately. After, I had to focus my blog on five key ideas of my life: personal, family, education, spiritual necessities, professional. I spent time on each individual part and finished right before lunch.             After lunch,

Jacqueline Perez-November 4, 2013             It was an exceptional Monday here at Ideal. It’s my Monday rotation which I actually forgot about. I thought I was only coming tomorrow, on my usual work day. Today I worked with Jennifer. I filed a lot of invoices and sorted mail. It’s something that I do a lot so it’s not difficult. While Jennifer was vouchering I filed the ones that were vouchered. So it worked perfectly. For lunch I had a Strawberry and Peanut Butter sandwich.  Before I ate my lunch I went to the garden with Christopher. I picked tomatoes, peppers, and yellow beans. I know my mom will be happy that we went because she doesn’t always have the time to go to the garden. She likes to feed us fresh vegetables so she loves going. I also got very sleepy after my lunch but I kept working. Other than that my day was great.

Today was great day at Ideal. When I came in, the first thing I saw were material checks on my desk all signed. I was glad they were all signed, which enabled me to work on other items.   Linda was here so I went and had a talk with her and caught up with things. When I was done they were PDPM and hard dollar to file. It took me while since nobody was been filing them all this week. Lunch came and thanks to Maria she brought me Chili cheese fries and a Coney. I went downstairs to the conference room to join Perez. We had a good talk and talked about plans for this weekend. Later Osmara came join us.   We had laughs for a while, but it was time to get to work. I went upstairs and started helping Bonnie mailing invoices, when I was done I started filing insurance and invoices for her. It was all done, so I stared to do the mail very quick. Today was a long day at Ideal Group. I said good morning to Osmara and Sylvia and went to my desk. I got a cup of coffee to help me through the day and to get the system running. I headed upstairs but Tony wasn't at his desk so I went and talked to Chris.  He had me look for a few things in the shop and it made me remember about the summer since that was something I did. I went to the shop and talked to a few of my friends and they asked when I was coming into work. I was telling them about how I was going to work this weekend so that everyone had work for me. After leaving the shop I went to the project managers office and told Chris everything was where it was suppose too be. I then went to print something’s for Tony and then went to lunch. At lunch Osmara joined Jose and I and we had a quick chat. We were talking about school and the things we are doing when we get out of high school. I had a very good time and had a lot to say.  When I got here I went to my desk and I notice my computer was gone. I waited for Sylvia to get here because she was going to give me some work. I was walking around and Virginia told me what was I doing. I told her I was waiting for Sylvia. She told me to go to the accounting office to do some work until Sylvia came. I did some filing and when I finished Sylvia came. She told me she didn't have any work for me. She took me to Andrea for some work and she gave me mailers to do. I started doing the mailers until it was lunch.  For Lunch I had a sandwich, applesauce, and yogurt. After Lunch I went back to work on the mailers. I worked on the mailers for another hour and I finished. I asked Alex if she could help me make labels. After I made the labels I went to tell Andrea that I finished . She told me to put the labels on postcards. I asked Alex if we had different postcards. Alex took me to the cave to get some more.  I got some more postcards and I asked Andrea which one she wan

Jacqueline Perez October 29, 2013 So far today it has been a good day here at Ideal. I worked with Jennifer, Kelly and Sean today. They gave me plenty of work which helped the day go by faster. I had matched some Drop Ship Pos with their invoices for Sean. I did some filing for Jennifer, and Scanning for Kelly. For lunch I had the schools lunch, which was a ham sandwich with orange juice, since I forgot to make myself a lunch last night. I listened to music and ate in the conference room with Christopher.  For most of the day I have been thinking about my filed trip tomorrow to Eastern Michigan University. I have been interested in that college for a while and it will be my first time going there. I hope I like it and for my senior year get accepted. 

Being Monday, It was awkward coming to work. It always feels nice that the weekend was coming after work, but not today. I went to my desk and checked my email; I had to plot out some drawing for Chris but first had to find them on the bid website.  Usually I have a hard time finding all the documents but this time it was a piece of cake. I then went to print them out and gave them to Chris.                 After I took lunch hour and enjoyed my wonderful lunch and had a good talk with Jose. After lunch, I went back to do my work and realized that I had an email from Tony, he wanted me to finish a work sheet he had gave me a while back. I got it done right before work ended and felt great knowing I finished all of my work. 

Today was a good day at Ideal. I started my morning filing invoices that were on my desk. It took me a while since it was a big pile. But first I had to put them in alphabetical order so that way I could do it quick. When I was done filing I went to look at Bonnie desk if she had some invoices to mail, there was one so I went ahead and did that. I went to Terry if she had something for me, she had me put Home Depot receipt in order by job number.             Lunch came and I went downstairs to the conference room to join Perez, like usually. We had a good meal and later Sylvia came and told us to go to the garden to pick up some vegetables and save money at stores. Overall, lunch went great but it was time to work.             As soon as I went upstairs I saw more invoices on top of the cabinet, and what I figured out was the all of the invoices that were on top didn’t have folders, I went to grave folders and began doing them. Today I came to Ideal ready to work. I started by filing invoices that were on my desk. When I was half way done, Maria told me that the material checks were ready. I started doing the material checks as soon as possible because it was a big stack and I knew it was going to take me a while to finish them.             Lunch came and there was pizza in the kitchen, they were leftovers from yesterday. I got two slices of pizza, two chicken wings and a stick bread with sauce. Jose Perez was downstairs, he was having lunch at the conference room so I decided to join him. Today was a very long day. Coming into Ideal is always exciting for me so I try to get to my desk as fast as possible.  I went thought my email and found that Amanda had some forms for me to sign so that’s what I did first. After, I went upstairs to talk to the guys in the Project Manager Office to see if they had any work for me. I was given a few tasks at first but I finished it in no time. After a while everyone started to give me tasks and I couldn't figure a way to get anything so I took a break and went to lunch.                 I had a good time at lunch. Mike Jose, and I had a talk about our plans this weekend. A while later Amanda came into the room and we talked about our grades I was happy to say that I had nothing lower than a B. During lunch I decided to go online and check the weather so I can take my dog out for a walk.    My day started off by doing some scans. While I was doing some scans, Alex told me to put some letters in some envelopes and stamp them. It took me about 45 minutes to finish them. I went back to my desk to finish the scans. Mike told me he was going to give me a topic to write about on my blog. I went to Sylvia for some work and she wanted me to get the magazines from Frank's desk that were old and she wanted me to put them in a box. When I finished I told her if she wanted me to do something else and she told me to get the magazines from her desk , put them in the box ,and to take them to school's library. I went back to finish my work and then it was lunch. I had a sandwich, fruit, yogurt, Cheetos, and soda. When lunch was over Osmara asked me if I wanted to be in the safety meeting. Chris Lara- 10/21/13 Today’s events were scattered . I entered the office at the same time Amanda did. She sat at her desk and began working immediately. I was shocked on how fast she could get down to business, so I tried to do the same. I checked my email and began on the tasks Sylvia gave me. I had to send a message out to the viewers of Cadillac Urban Gardens (CUGM), send emails for guest information, and send a message to Sarah Clark concerning the tomatoes at CUGM. First, I sent a message out to all the people I could describing the great tomatoes and peppers we have at the garden. I even included a tomato relish recipe. Then I sent some emails to guests for the DHDC Gala. I had to retrieve some information of the guests that will be coming for logistical purposes. Once I sent those out, I moved onto the email for Sarah. I sent an email to Sarah describing a certain task Sylvia wants completed. Jacqueline Perez-October 22, 2013             Today had been an extraordinary day so far. This morning was a little weird though because I didn’t have my usual morning routine. Here at Ideal the day has gone by fast. I had a good lunch and a lot of work today, but I’m not really complaining since it keeps me busy. This morning was a little different than most. It was a little hard getting up this morning to come to work, since nobody from school except sophomores came today. My older brother slept in today but I had to wake up early and get ready like any other school day. I also have a sore throat so I made myself some tea this morning as well. It felt like it was a really short day at work. I believe it’s because I had plenty of work. I worked with Jennifer today and I vouchered, filed and completed some Setech billings. I also did something new in a program called Citrix and saved some invoices. For lunch I had soup to help my sore throat and some carrots on the side.

I came to Ideal ready for work. Maria, the new intern, was unpacking her stuff where Chelsea used to sit. They told me that Maria was going to move here in the office and Chelsea was moving where Terry’s office is. The first thing that Maria gave me was material checks, I made copies of the checks and started as soon as possible. When I was done , I took them downstairs and handed them to Rachael. When the material checks were done, I filed invoices from last week. When I finished, I helped Bonnie file some of her invoices.             Lunch came and I went downstairs to the conference room. Jose wasn’t there yet so I started eating while I was waiting for him. We had a good talk about homecoming tonight. Lunch was over so we both got up and started working.                Bonnie had invoices to mail out, she asked me if I could do them very quickly. Today I came into Ideal a little tired but still full of energy. I was at the Tigers game the night before and had a great time. Amanda called me into her office and asked about my grades. I told her that I was doing very well and planning to keep it that way. After my talk with Amanda, I headed towards the project managers office and Tony gave me a few things to plot. I went to the printer and printed what I need. Afterwards I went to update the Active Jobs folder and got everything organized. Lunch soon came so I went downstairs.                 At lunch, I sat with Jose Patino and we talked about homecoming today. We both decided that we would go and have a good time. For lunch I had a ham sandwich and cookies. At the end of lunch I felt full but Osmara offered me a taco and I still managed to finish it. Today was a good day. When I got here I went to Alex for some scans. She assigned me some Drops and Po's. I started to do them and later Mike told when I finished, I was going to do something with the postcards from Monday. After I finished I told Mike and he said he would tell me what to do when he comes back. I waited for 3 minutes and I decided to go to Amanda for instructions. I went to Amanda for instructions and she told me to check how much it cost to send a postcard. Right when she was telling me Mike comes and says he was looking for me. Amanda said that I told her that Mike didn't tell me what to do. I went back to my desk to check how much it cost to send a postcard. I checked online and it said 33 cents. I checked another website to make sure and it said 33 cents too. Mike told me to send the link to Amanda and when I was going to send the email to her Mike typed "  Mike says do some work, stop making my sister do everything. I went to Amanda to tell he
