Today was very unusual. In the morning when I walked in, Sean gave me a congratulation for the win on Saturday. After that, Pat wanted me to fill out a form for GDYT so that I would be able to work for Ideal in the summer. After I had finished, Sean went over my daily tasks. I was mostly to fix a few problems I had with a print we wanted to make for the sign base project. When lunch came around Sean and I both forgot to eat and carried about through the day until about one thirty. We had a Frank Innovation Meeting without the big man himself. Frank was in Orlando for the Supplier of the Year event. After the meeting, we grabbed some snacks and carried on back to the office. When we got back we both worked on our own things and I luckily finished correcting the errors in the print. I had set the part to print (purely for testing purposes). I let it print for a while and then went off to do my daily blog. Before I did the blog, I rewrote the topics on a clean sheet of paper so that ever

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/31/17 Warmer Weather With warmer weather coming closer these days, I can only see great things in the future. I've gotten sick and tire of being stuck inside because of snow, 20 degree weather or freezing rain. I plan on going out a lot more, preferably with friends, riding my bike, and running to stay in shape. Since it is also baseball season, my little bro joined the school team and is gonna need to practice. Maybe if my family goes to a park we could play catch and help him better his skills. My Day My day went pretty smooth honestly. Started out with a fat stack of invoices form Steve, which took me around an hour to put in envelopes and mail, then I moved on to scans. He had a healthy amount of scans for me to do, so they kept me busy all day. Not much happened, just smooth sailing.

Today was alright and it went fast, what I did was mail some invoices and I put some labels on some envelopes for some baseball tickets. After that I went online to fill out my GDYT application and it took me a while. Then I went to the computer again and started to look at some pictures and put them in a separate folder and my supervisor is going to update the web browser, with the pictures that I have choose.

Today was pretty normal as usual. I got to the desk and started working on some envelopes. I pretty much worked on envelopes all day and mailing them as well. I also had to sign an application for a work in the summer, which I look forward to. For my break, I decided to go to the gym, it went pretty good. This was how my day went.

In the morning when I first arrived Pat said hi and approached Sunny and I. She kindly asked if we could disassemble some tables upstairs that have been left after an event. Sunny and I were happy to help and finished quickly. When I got to my desk I settled and got a cup of fresh coffee. After my first sip of my coffee I talked with Sean about my daily life and my work for the day. He said a couple of my duties but there were a few hidden gems I would find out. I first had to remove the memory of an old computer and send it to Dell for recycling. When I had finished with memory wipe, I printed off a label so we could send it to Dell. After we packaged the computer, I was to start the print that needed a fixing last week. When I started to print, the printer was acting funny and the print was coming out wrong. I was sent back into Auto Cad to fix a couple more errors with in the model. I work until lunch quickly came and Sean bought me some cheese fries (hold the chili because it is s

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/24/17 My Day Today was a great and busy day. First in the morning Steve set me up with some invoices that I mailed out, but had no luck with the scans. The scanner would scan the papers but not send them to Steve, so I had to go look for other work. Kala had me file some papers in the accounting filing cabinets then I helped bring some food from the upstairs kitchen to the downstairs. After all of that I was told to help a lady named Linda, who works upstairs, to numerically file some folders for her and label some cabinets. All this work had me moving around alot, which is what I like in a job. It was definitely a better change of pace from doing scans all day.

My day today went pretty good and clam. To start off my day, I drank some coffee since I was pretty tired. What I did mostly today was envelopes and mailing them. For my break, I went to the gym, which I need to start going more often. But overall, today was good.

My day has been alright, It went pretty fast since I was mailing pretty much the whole day, also I did invoices. One thing I learned today was how to add currency to mailing machine which was pretty interesting to see. At first it was going slow but then, time was going faster for me and I talked with Frank Venegas.

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/20/17 Ineligibility List I do have a friend on the ineligibility list, but I don't think I should say their name. Anyways, some ways I could help get them off the list is by helping them out with what subject they are having trouble in. I could study with them in a study hall or just give them some tips on how to take notes. Another way that wouldn't involve directly helping them with school is just being there for them. Giving them emotional support and encouragement could really make a difference in whether they can boost their grade up or have it sink down. My Day Today I had a bit of a bumpy start, as it was difficult to find work. I did all of the work I was given Friday, which left me with none for today. Steve was able to scrounge up some scans and invoices but it only kept me busy for so long. For a while everyone was in a meeting which left me with no one to get work from. But once they got back, I aske

Today was a day full of Auto Cad. Today as I walked in I noticed Sean wasn’t in yet, so I head over to the kitchen to make a couple pots of coffee for everyone (including myself). When I was done, I walked back to the office to greet Sean. After our usual catch up Sean gave me the task of getting even more familiar with Auto Cad. I was to make a base for the Cameras for an invention Frank wants to put on the market. There were ups and downs but I eventually made it through with help of Sean, Stephen, forums, and Google.  When lunch came around, thankfully (because I forgot my lunch) Sean bought me some cheese fries. After I ate and looked at technology on the internet, I got back to work. Out of nowhere Auto Cad crashed and I lost everything. Thankfully, I redid everything within an hour or so. I had just enough time to reach a good milestone with the Auto Cad work and finish my blog. Lastly before I left, I changed the tape on the 3D printer.   One conspiracy theory I have would be

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/17/17 Conspiracy Theory One conspiracy theory I believe in is that aliens exist. It's not very hard to picture, out in a vast galaxy that is yet to be explored could hold life different from ours. For humans to be the only sentient beings in a supposed infinite universe almost seems like a impossible thought. I wouldn't say I believe in flying saucers zooming across the sky or aliens captured at Area 51 but it would be pretty neat if those were true. My Day Today felt I felt more productive than usual. I started out with a large pile of invoices that I mailed within an hour and then I moved on to multiple emails of scans. The scans lasted until around 2, which was when I went over to Osmara's office and asked if she had any work for me. She set em up with a few emergency binders to update from some specific people. One of them was named Yesenia, though I did not recognize her name or face. When I went to go

One conspiracy theory I believe in is that there is extraterrestrial life on other planets, I believe that we aren't alone in this world. I don't think we are the only human beings and animals on Earth. There was probably intelligent life before us and we weren't able to document it,

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/10/17 Change the School If I had to choose one thing to change about the school it would be how the freshman who work on Fridays are in one group of people the entire day instead of having different people in each class. I feel sort of isolated when I'm in just one class, like when I was expecting high school to be fun and I would get to meet a ton of new people, but nope, I've only met around 20 new people and that's it, because I'm stuck in one group with them. I feel cheated out of knowing everybody in the freshman classes at least a little bit. My Day Today was a bit different for a little. I did my morning things, but then Pam told em that the Governor would be visiting the building! I was really surprised and I wondered why he would visit, but I think it had something to do with the power outage. Pam told Enrique and I to go to the gate and direct people to the proper parking spot and the building.

Today I mostly helped with setting up for the Governor's arrival. In the morning, Santino and I thought that Ideal would be closed, due to the power outages. To our surprise, Ideal remained open thanks to its pack-up generators. I walked in and Sean asked about life and whatnot. After our banter, we wanted me to continue to work out housing for the camera\sign base project. After about an hour I came up with a couple of ideas that involved specific cut outs and a new option for sign bases. When I was about to present my ideas, Pat walked in and needed my help. I helped Pat and Osmara for the rest of the morning because of the big event that was going to be held for the Governor. When the setup was done, I reported to lunch and ate Quietly. After lunch, I helped put some things back after the event and proceeded to help Sean. Sean left for the day but he left me a computer to prep for an Ideal worker. This lead me up to the end of the day and I wrote my blog.  The one thing I wou

One thing I would change about the school is the time, which would be to get out at 3:22 instead of 4:00. We shouldn't have EC or if people wanted to stay till four they can but others shouldn't just have to be there. If they don't need help from a teacher they should be able to leave, if they don't need help people just go to a room and do homework or talk to their friends.

Idalid Hernandez 3-6-17

One thing I would change about the school is the school hours. In DCR, we enter at 7:30 and get out at 4. In middle school I was use to entering at 8 and leaving at 2:50. I think they should change the time to at least 3. I believe that we need some time to relax, and we might also have things to do as well. I usually have time trouble and have so much work to do which only takes time away for me to relax. So by changing the school hours it might help.

My day was usual and I met a past intern that really shed some light on how my future will go if I play my card right. In the morning, I came and saw a present on my desk. My business cards had finally come in. I greeted Sean and after our usual conversation of life, he told me that I would need a case for my business cards (so that my cards can be as pristine as my formal presentation to a new executive). I looked on Thingiverse until I found a card holder that was both formal and lightweight. When I found the right one, I immediately started to print it. After I printed it, Sean and I went to go inspect opportunity with Frank's TV and came out of his office defeated but found a surprise. A past intern, that now works for Ford, showed up. We had an amazing conversation with Frank, Kevin (the old intern), Sylvia, Sean, Racheal, Jesse, and I. After that, I went to go set up and universal remote in the gym. Lunch started to come close so Sean head of to go and get food, bring

Santino Lopez 9th Grade Shield Department 3/3/17 Favorite Teacher If I had to pick a favorite teacher, it would have to be Father Jose. His class,Theology, is fairly easy as long as you get the homework done and his quizzes and tests are a piece of cake because the material is so easy to memorize. He also isn't a boring teacher. During his lectures he'll crack jokes or let us make some without punishment.  My Day Today was normal, business as usual. I started with invoices then moved on to the scans from Steve. After I was finished with all of his stuff I got some scans from Melanie. The scans were a bit tough to put though, because the new Sugar I'm supposed to be putting them in is buggy. I tried searching the job number in the search bar but the job wouldn't appear. I asked Teresa for help and she guided me on what to do.

My favorite teacher would have to be my Latin teacher, Mr. Dywer. His class is very interesting and I learn a lot of new things. I like how he teaches us how to speak and translate Latin. I also like how sometimes Mr. Dywer lets us all talk as a class, and have some good conversations. Overall, he is one great teacher ( All my teachers are greats but Mr. Dywer is my favorite).

Jose Sandoval 3/1/2017

My favorite teacher would be Mr. Bryant because he is always willing to help us out in Math and he is always answering our questions when we have one. I appreciate him the most and he is more calm with students that my other teachers. The other teachers are alright but overall he is the best teacher that I have had this year.
