Ideal Group Interns

JOSE PEREZ Today I came in to help Amanda move somethings around to make the office cleaner.After I had a wonderful time helping marketing wrapping presents for the first time in my life.When I was finshed I went back to Sean and did a little paper work for him then went to lunch and that was my day.

Today was a great day. I started off my day working on the warm leads for Ideal Shield. When I was done with that, Amanda gave me a task to complete. I had to enter business card information onto her outlook contacts. When I completed that task, I worked on a fun project. I made an Ideal Intern picture. Through out the day, I also helped Kelly Fay set up the conference room for a meeting, and helped Keli with the seperation of gifts for the adopted families. My day went great! Today was a good day:).What I did was file some folders and some new hire workers. Then I brought some gifts and gave it to Amanda. When I finished filing some folders it was lunch time so I went downstairs and ate some pizza wich it was good!!. Then Yesi didnt have anything for me to do so I went with Amanda and helped her roll up some toys it was fun. My day went wonderfull :). JP

Today was a interesting day at Ideal. Both Sylvia and Freddy were not here in the morning. Amanda and I had the weekly meeting and there I got assigned a few tasks. My first task was to work with Kelly Fay upstairs in contracting. There I spent most of my morning filing. It wasn't bad at all but I didn't find many files. Then Freddy got here and we had to take some papers out of folders and then recycle the binders. Then I had lunch and I did my Biology homework. Then I started looking up three additional colleges I would like to attend. Then Sylvia assigned me a few tasks. Overall my day was great! Diego Cruz

JOSE PEREZ Today was like any other day I started in accounting.In accounting I helped Sean with some mailing that needed to be done after I went to marketing for the first time in weeks so I had a good time.Then I went to lunch in my office and when I was finshed went back to work in marking and that was my day.

Today was a good day. I started off my day working on the Ideal Shield warm leads. When I was done with that I sent out literature to diffrent addresses. I went to lunch after. When lunch was over, Keli asigned me to resize pictures. I finished them before I left. Meanwhile, I worked on the Tractor spread sheet. I also wrote a thank-you letter. Today i did allot of things. I went upstairs and work on making new hires folder after that i started to file some folders. Then i help kelly making SAP folders i spend the whole time on that i went to went to luncd and Linda maked me a Hot Dog wich it was good:). Then i still continue making some folders and i finish. Hopefully my day went grate. JP

Today was very calm yet productive day. I started out my day preparing a board package for Frank. Then I moved on to making a control sheet for these books that are going to get used in a future meeting. Then I had a brief meeting with Sylvia about some tasks that I got assigned. From there i began working on the safety file getting everything updated for our meeting tomorrow. Then I checked a few magazine subscriptions. After that I called Abel to clarify some information. Then I had my lunch. After lunch I finished my morning tasks. Then I went to Amanda and got handed a few other like updating the white boards in the hall and making books for her. Then Sylvia gave me two additional tasks, entering contacts, and a meeting. Over all my day was busy, but fun. Diego Cruz

JOSE PEREZ Today was a good day like always i started to file.Then I want to work for contracting which was fun.After i want to lunch And that was my day.P.S I learned alot about recycling.

Osmara Zarate I started off my day binding presentations for Amanda. There were only 10 of them, but you had to put papers in a certain order and that made it take a little while. Then I scanned some papers for Sylvia and e-mailed them to her. After I was done with that, I finished a short mailer. I also had to send out cut sheets and catalogs to three diffrent companies. Throughout the day I also had short tasks like looking through magazines and continuing to  work on the tractor spread sheet. Amanda and Keli took me out to lunch, it was delicious, thank you! (= Overall my day went by very productive.

Today was a productive and easy day. I started off my by reading my emails and crating my back log. Then we had our weekly meeting and during that meeting a lot was discussed. We went over many important things. Then we were assigned out task's. I started of my day with safety then went to help out Freddy. Then I had lunch. After lunch I helped Freddy with magazine subscriptions, finally I closed my day making labels.

Today was a very good day here at Ideal! Today was a bit different, we had our weekly meeting but today Amanda joined us. The meeting was very successful. During that meeting we learned that we have to be more responsible, and we need to start getting more organized. We all got our tasks for the day. Than i had lunch, after lunch I completed my tasks. Osmara Zarate Today was a good, calm day. I started off my day completeing a short mailer. Then I continued working on the Tractor project. Throughout the day, I also had short taks to complete. I had to update the white board and sent out literature. I also started working on the Ideal Shield warm leads. Overall my day went good.

Osmara Zarate I started off my day completeing a small mailer. Then, Amanda gave me a project to work on. I had to make a spread sheet with contact information of  tractor companies. There are 2,450 companies. I did not finish them all, but eventually I will. (: My last task was to help Keli set up for an event. Overall my day went by good.

11/15/10             Today what I made new hires folders and put some time sheet in numerical order. When I finish they brought some pizza which it was good, when I finish eating I went to do my work again. While I was work some visitors came I went and I introduce my self we had a talk and we went back to work. And that was my day…=)

JOSE PEREZ Today I worked  on mailing a lot of things just kept comeing  it felt like forever because there was mail after mail but I manged to finsh it in a very short time. Then I came to marketing to work on some Pictures for Keli and that was my long day.

Osmara Zarate My day began as usual, I completed a small mailer for Amanda. Then I worked on the Ideal Shield warm leads. I also put them in regional order. When I was done with that, I went to lunch. After lunch I worked on resizeing pictures for Ideal Surplus. Over all my day went by good.

  11/10/10             Today I didn’t do that much at work but I did a lot of failing. I also was folded and stuffed checks and I included a flyer that said ‘HAPPY THANKS GIVING’. It was a bunch of papers so I last it the whole day. It made my arms still did it. So that’s what I did for the day.

JOSE PEREZ Today I walked in with a lot if energy and I did a lot of work that was hard in a little bit of time so I was proud of my self.Then I want to lunch and after started on a big pile on papers that took for ever to finsh but in the end I was able to do it !

Osmara Zarate I started off my day completeing a small mailer. Then I finished sticking stickers on the guardrail cut sheets. After I was done with that, I finished renameing pictures for Ideal Surplus. I also scanned some pictures for Freddy. In the afternoon, Amanda and Keli gave me a project to complete. I had to google the keywords people use to find Ideal Shield. When I was done with that, I started resizeing the Ideal Surplus pictures I renamed. My day went good overall.

11/03/2010 Today I came to work at Ideal. I went upstairs and waited for Yesi she came and I started working. I started to put I-9’s forms into the I-9 folder. Then I started making labels. When I finished that task, I made an envelope. I made one, and then I put a stamp on it and took it down stairs for mail pick up. I went to lunch and then started to work on a time sheet and that’s was my day.   JP

Today is my eleventh day here at Ideal. Today was an extremely productive day. We had our weekly morning meeting. In there Sylvia gave us our tasks for the day. Today I had to create a few folders for events, post up events on Calendars. I also posted the next Safety Meeting. Then I had my lunch. After lunch I worked on some of Frank's expenses, and gave a tour to a future Ideal Intern. After that I made a few credit Card Purchases. I finished all my task's for the day and Sylvia was gone. So Amanda gave me tasks to work on and also edited my biology essay at lunch. Diego Cruz

JOSE PEREZ This moring was the first time I helped Edna, she need some things mailed so I helped her to finish faster.Then Sean came in and gave me some invocies that had to be with their POs.After I was finished with that I needed to put them in to the computer so I did then I went to lunch.After lunch I went to marketing to work on Excel and that was my day.

JOSE PEREZ Today I stared to match some invoices for an hour after I began to file some papers.When I was done I went to lunch. After lunch  I went to marketing with Amanda and got started on some labels and had to put them on some post cards and that was my day.

Osmara Zarate Today was a good day. I started off my day completing a short mailer. After I was done I had to finish renameing Ideal Surplus pictures. I also helped Keli put signs for the auction happening at Ideal Surplus. I got to see the place. It was very cool. Overall my day went great.

10/27/10             Today I did all lot of work. I did folders for new hires and file them. I made copies for Yesi. I also did excel manpower chart and print 5 copies. I can give one to Yesi, Kovoch, and to Sylvia. I also made an envelope and mailed it our.   I did made levels. I went to lunch and I started to work on checks and checking them and making some copies. J.P.

Today was a very productive yet busy day! I started of my day with our weekly meeting. During  our meeting we discussed several things such as: Dream Makers Gala, our daily task's, and our personal goals. After that I started of making several folders for Sylvia, then I made check request forms, after that I had my lunch. After lunch Freddy and I cleaned Frank's office. After that I worked on some calendar stuff for Sylvia, and placed waters in Loren's office. Overall my day here today was pretty good. Diego Cruz

When I was done with them I put them in regional order. When I was done with the Ideal Shield warm leads I started on the Ideal Surplus warm leads. I also made labels for the guardrail cutsheets. I completed all my tasks for today. (:

JOSE PEREZ Today I walked in to work for Sean but he was late so I worked all day with Amanda in marketing.I started by useing excel to look for HQ of big store in the U.S.After I was done I went to lunch at my desk as always then went back to work with excel where I had to work on a long list of hospitals and that was my Friday work day.

Osmara Zarate Today was a very busy day. I started off my day sending out a short mailer. After I was done with the mailer, I had to make labels with numbers. Then I had to cut them in half. While I was cutting them, Keli gave me centerpieces to cut for the DHDC Gala. When I was done with that, Amanda gave me 25  presenetations to bind. I went to lunch after I was done, Amanda brought me a salad from Russel Street, it was delicious! When lunch was over, I helped Amanda glue posterboards for the DHDC Gala. Then Keli gave me a projet to do. I had to send out a mailer to the NACS tradeshow. My last task was to put lasts weeks warm leads in regional order. My day went by really fast. It was very productive, I'm proud of myself that I finished everything. Overall a GREAT day.

Today was an overall busy day. I had double the tasks since Freddy wasn't here. I started off my day with getting all my tasks from Sylvia. After that I began making numerous folders. Then I had to organize and purchase three magazine subscriptions. Then I had lunch. After lunch I organized receipts. Then I called some more magazine subscriptions and made purchases through the phone. Then I carried some stuff to Sylvia's car. That is what I did today. Diego Cruz

9/18/2010 Today I did new things. In the morning I went forward inside of Ideal Group I went upstairs and know one was there. So I went with Amanda down stairs and I started to work on marketing.   I worked on   a chart and finished it.   It was afternoon so she told me to go with Yesi. When I went back up stairs Yesi was there and I started to work on new hires file and I also worked on the recovery of cost for trucks it was kind of fun.

Today I did a lot of things at work. I did new hires folders and file them like always. I also meet Dennis Kane and we talked about what he did to get here in Ideal group and what he did when he was in school. We also talk about me and what I do in Cristo Rey High School . When I finished talking with Dennis, I got back to work with Yesi   and I finished some of the my work.   I also met with Amanda S. and talked about what she did in school too and how she end up working here at Ideal Group. 9/13/2010

Jose Perez Today I worked all day Sean I started by doing some Fileing .Then I had to look thought all of the shield files to see if they were all their.After I went to lunch at my desk as always and  then restarted my work.So that was my whole day at work.

Osmara Zarate . The whole day I worked on entering NACS contacts into sugar. There were alot of them. I had to make a new lead and enter addresses, email's, phone number's, and notes. I finished all 96 of them before I left. Then Amanda gave me a paper to fax. I also went out to eat with Amanda and Andrea to El Rancho, it was very good thank-you (: My day was good overall.

Today was an extremely busy day for Sylvia. When she first got here she already had stuff she need to accomplish. Our meeting was cut short for the reason that there was another meeting going on at 9. I got assigned a few task in the morning. I had to call Crime Stoppers of Michigan and purchase to tickets for Frank and Laurie. Than I had to make two actions plans for myself. Lastly I had to call Abel to get informed on the manhole in the parking lot. Then I had lunch and during lunch I worked on my English paper that is due tomarrow. After lunch we had our monthly safety meeting. After that I worked on calendar appointments until it was time to leave. Diego Cruz

Today was pretty simple and productive. There was no admin meeting because Freddy wasn't here. So Sylvia and I sat in her office and I assigned my task for the day. I started my day off with getting Frank's board meeting package together. After that I made some labels for folders, than I worked on the safety stuff. Than lunch time came and I worked on my English paper that is due this Thursday. After lunch I entered appointments onto the calendar than i did some credit card authorizations. Finally I set up the admin meeting we're having in the morning and I worked on the a flight I had I had to correct. Diego Cruz

Jose Perez Today I walked in to work and helped out Amanda with some fileing.After I went to marketing and I started to name some pictures.After I named pictures I went to lunch at my desk and used the internet.Then I went on with my work and ended the day .

Osmara Zarate I started off my day renaming pictures for Gary Brothers. In between my day, I helped Amanda get some cut sheets that were needed inside the Marketing office. Mrs. Baron, my English Teacher, also came in today to take pictures of me for the yearbook. My last task was to make a program outline for the DHDC Dream Makers Gala. My day was good overall.

Today I went to work. I made an envelope so I can mail it to the company. Also I did new folders for the new hires and file them. I updated Ideal Group’s phone list using excel. When I finished Yesi told me to make 3 copies of the phone list. Bob Kohut had task for me.   I scanned documents that were related to the marathon project to his e-10/mail. I finished the task on time.   Today, I also visited Frank and we talked about how I’m doing in school. He also told me about when he was little he was having some problems with math like I am.   It made me feel like we have something in common. Jose Patino

Today was a very productive day from the moment Iwalked in to now that I'm about to leave. Today when I first got here I wrote my back log and prepared for our weekly meeting. Today during the meeting Sylvia gave us out weekly task's. After the meeting I began with giving Sean Frank's receipts, after that I scanned some contacts over to Sylvia, and I finished a travel itinerary for Frank and Laurie. Then I asked Keli to show me a Series of videos called "turning Lemons into Lemonade." After watching those videos Amanda asked me to write and article where I've have been in a situation that was bitter or sour and how I plan to make is sweet and good like lemonade. Here is my article: There aren't that many lemons in my life except the one that I believe all of Detroit's citizens have. The city of Detroit is a great City and it is very successful, but it is also very dangerous. In the last weeks the danger has multiplied with all the house burning that

Today was a basic yet productive day at Ideal. I started my day off with creating my backlog. Than we had our weekly task's meeting. After the meeting I completed the follwing: mailed the remaining DTE letters, updated travel instructions, fixed the formatting or the safety sheet, than I had lunch. After lunch I continued updating meetings from Sylvia's calendars, than i finished by sorting Lorens receipts. Jose Perez Today was the first day that I worked on Monday.It was fun I did a lot of work with Sean and Amanda.I had to use excel today to look for locations of differnt places in the U.S.At lunch I used the internet then Iwent back to work to end the day.

JOSE PEREZ Today I started out helping Amanda by cutting some papers.After that  I helped Sean out with some invoices he had and then I went to lunch.When I was finished,  I went to marketing and I started working with excel.At the end of the day I mailed somethings and I learned the history of Ideal group. I learned how it all got started with a simple car and it grew into a big company that had it's ups and downs but never gives up.

Osmara Zarate Today was a good day. I started off my day sending out 120 postcards to fire departments in California. Then I finished the project I had to do for Linzie. After lunch, I finished the 100 Convenience Store spread sheet. I also learned how to change the color of an eye in photoshop. My day was good overall.

What i did today.  I made a a binder and put all the employee 1-9 forms on the binder. Then when i finish i went to microsft word and used labels and i printed them out. Kelly had to help me out when it was time to use the copy machine to print out the labels.  Then i  helped Yesi with filing in the employee files.

Osmara Zarate Today was a good day. I started of my day making a fighfighter department mailer. Then Linzie gave me a project to do. It took most of my day. It requiered me to google or search in wikipedia the corporate headquarters for each region and put them on a spread sheet. There were alot of confusions with the project. At the end I finally understood it. Overall my day went by very productive.

Jose Perez Today I worked with Amanda and co-workers.I leraned how to use a fax machine.I also had to file some things and do some work on the computer to get my morning work done.Then I went to marketing to do some work and use excel after I had luch and went back to work.

Osmara Zarate Today was a very good day. I started of my day renaming pictures. Then Amanda gave me a project to do.She gave me a magazine that contained the top 100 convenience stores. I had to Google their headquarters and put their contact information on a spread sheet. I did not finish, but I'll be coming in on Monday and I'll be able to finish them then. I also helped Amanda gather up 70 Ideal Group brochures, 2 dozens of the U of M catalogs, 70 business cards of Frank Venegas, and 70 newsletters. Amanda also took me to see the progress of the mural Tek is making. It's awsome! Overall my day was great.

What i did today at Ideal Group. First, I started by filing papers work.  Nexted, I helped Bob by hole punch some papers for the marathon project, and maded some copys for him.  During that time, I got really tired but I still did it and finished. When i gave him the folder he introduce me to his son.When i got back to Yessi, I helped her with the payrolling sheets.  When we finished,  she tought me a new thing.  I learnd how to print out a letter from Microsoft Word. At the end of the day, I met Frank.  I thought he was funny. He made me go around and say "hello" to all the employees, then shook thier hands.  That was my day at the Ideal Group..

Today was by far the busiest day here at Ideal. When I first arrived I got my backlog prepared before our weekly 8:30a.m. meeting. When we got there Sylvia had an agenda ready for us. On that agenda we reviewed alot of task's that we've done before and we went over how we can improve them. After the meeting Freddie and I started on our first task which was to go over all the GM contacts and we finished right before lunch time. Then at lunch Freddie brought in Chinese food :] which was too much but good! After lunch I put up the next Safety Meeting on the calendar, sent a couple emails to Loren and Al, and waited for Sylvia and Amanda to finish reviewing the letter we are using as a template to send to all the DHDC Gala attendees. That was the only task I didn't get to finish, but Freddie will work on it twice this week.                                                                                                                                 Diego Cruz              

Jose Patino   Today was my fourth day at work.I went upstairs and worked on what Yessi left me. I did a folder for her  and put some sheets in the folder. And I also put them in order by date, it was hard but I still did it. Since Yessi didn't come to work I helped Amanda for the rest of the day. It was great working with her because I learned new things and different things. I went on Google and found some companies and wrote down what city and state they were in. That was my day.

Osmara Zarate Today was my second day at Ideal. I started my day making my cover sheet for the DCR Journal. Then Amanda gave me a small mailer to complete. After I completed the mailer I went upstairs to cut labels for the Guardrail cutsheets. After lunch, I kept working on the Machine Shop project. It took most of my day. Overall, my day went by fast a great.

Today was a good day…..I did the same things I did last time and it was kind of fun but on the other hand it was not as boring as I thought. I filed employee paperwork in alphabetical order from A-Z. I also made folders for all new hired employees.  Today I wrote a lot but I think is a good think because that could help me with my writing and typing skills.  I also worked on my elevator speech to practice..  I also did some research about Cristo Rey on the internet and which helped me develop my elevator speech.  Bob Kohut had me copy  and hole punch a folder for their Marathon job.

Today at Ideal I had plenty of work to do.The first thing I did was to write a back log on what I did yesterday, after that Sylvia called Freddy and I to the conference room to give us our task's for today. The first thing we worked on was Safety, setting it up and preparing the materials for the meeting we had today. Then we work on the box of magazines that Sylvia wants to archive. From there we had lunch. After lunch I began to work on updating the Safety Minutes and making sure it was sent out. I also collected Frank's receipts. There were three task's i didn't get to finish, I will take care of them next Tuesday. Overall my day at Ideal was GREAT!

Today was a very calm day at the same time productive. My supervisor Sylvia wasn't here today, I worked on some of Freddie's task, the ones that didn't require much info. I started off my day checking Frank's Waters and then I sent his calendars to Laurie Sall. Afterwards I prepared a Travel Itinerary but I wasn't able to finish it because Kelly needed some for information from Sylvia. Then I came to Marketing. Amanda gave me a job I've never done before, which was productive and at the same time it helped me get through my day faster! Overall today was a great day!

Jose Patino Today was a good day. I learned many things, for example filing, separating papers and putting papers in alphabetical order. The work was not hard to do but you get tired sometimes but when I finished Yessie gave me some different work that was new and that kept me interested that way I wasn't bored. The only hard thing was putting some folders in order but I still finished it. I think if I keep this up I'm going to be successful in this job.

JOSE PEREZ Today I learned somethings that I didn't know, like how to market and how to file papers.Then in the middle of the day I went out to lunch with my supervisors and it was great I had enchladas and had a good conversation! After I went back to work in marketing in my little officeand that was my day.

Osmara Zarate Today was my first day at work. I started of my day cutting a couple of poster for Amanda. Then Keli gave me a project to do. It requierd me to enter information abou machine shop companies into a spread sheet for Ideal Surplus. It took most of my day. I also helped  getting 200 cut sheets and 25 catalogs. Amanda and I went out for lunch to somewhere new, O'Blivians, I liked it alot! My first day went by good. Its good to be back at Ideal.

Diego Cruz Today was my first day back to work, here at Ideal Group. When I walked in today I was recieved well by all my co-workers. A few minutes afterwards Sylvia, my Supervisor, Freddy, my co worker, and myself sat down in Frank's office to discuss the tasks that we were going to take care of. I had to complete several task today such as, put a package together for Loren, and print out several letters,  archive, charge card authorizations, updated work instructions, and catch up with new stuff. Overall my first day back here was great.

Welcome to a new school year for Detroit Cristo Rey High School. Ideal Group has been a sponsor in this program for three years and we look forward to having interns every August.
