Ideal Group Interns

           Today in the IT department I feel as though I had accomplished a boat load. In the morning, I helped Sunny get settled. Once I finished that, I went to get settled at my desk. My first task of the day was to finish figuring out how a different camera worked. After that, I had to install some hardware (a new keyboard for Pat and a new monitor for Steve). When I finished, I moved on to another quad set of cameras. Before I knew it, I had a meeting about IT projects and timelines to go to. Before I headed off towards lunch I had to learn how to work four headsets that controlled through Bluetooth. During lunch, I helped Sean set a ps4 for Aiden's, Amanda Kowalski's son, Christmas Present. For lunch my great supervisor also bought me an order of Chili Cheese Fries. After lunch I made sure that a desktop computer was ready for office use. Later, Sean showed me how to customize an application (I do not know how I managed to accomplish this). Finally, Frank made me figure o

                                                                                Hero/Mentor I would say that my mentor would be my older brother, Tony. While I was in my young and learning stage I would always watch Tony play video games or do something that interested him, which made me interested in that stuff. He'd watch Dragon Ball Z and play Spyro, so I began to watch and play them too. He helped mold and change my taste in video games, TV, music, and interests.My relatives and mom even say that we're almost exactly alike!              Today felt like an extremely slow day. Maybe it was because I didn't get much sleep last night and was half awake all day, or that I wasn't able to listen to music. Even so, I did get tons of scans done, according to Steve I completed over 300 of them bad boys. I was authentically surprised, it didn't feel like I did that many! He said that he was only giving me the easy ones, so I wonder what'll happen if I complete the

           Today was a nice day to be in the IT department. In the morning, I helped Santino get settled at a new desk because to his surprise someone was sitting in the usual spot form the Ideal Steel intern. After that I went to Sean to see what tasks he had for me today. We worked on refurbishing an old computer but we were sadly unsuccessful. Even though we could not completely restore the computer, it runs smoothly enough for web browsing and to get work done. After this, we proceeded to go to our first meeting of the day. The meeting was to bring awareness to speak up about people doing unsafe things and to not be afraid to question people's safety. When the first meeting was done, we had ten minutes to prep for our second meeting of the day with the admin office. When the meeting was over we had to fish a cord through a wall to hook up the printer for the admins. My Day Today, I was off to a bumpy start. One of the workers was at the laptop I usually work at and he looked like he was there to stay. Enrique got me a laptop in accounting, but it was lacking in the programs I needed so I had to download alot of them, such as PDF Sam Basic, Java, and Adobe Flash. After all that, we had a meeting about some incidents and what to do in certain situations. Steve left around 10, so I had to go looking for some other work when I was finished with his BOLs. Homecoming There hasn't been homecoming yet, as it is today. But, I am extremely excited about it! This will be my first dance, thing is, I don't know how to dance! I'll see what I can do there, because I really don't want to be a wall flower. I'm prepared for it, I bought my outfit yesterday, a blue vest and a pair of blue dress pants, and I'm going to get a haircut today. Gotta look fresh am I right? The theme of the dance is Neon Lights, so at first I had no idea what to wear. I decided to just try dressing a bit fancy, as it is a dance. Can't wait for tonight! Santino Lopez - 10/28/16

Christian Perales October 27, 2016 Three Goals I Have Set for Myself My goal for this month, was to raise my grades to all A's. I was able to accomplish that goal for the most part; although, I had two -A's. My goal for this school year, is to get an accumulative GPA of a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale, and become the president of NHS. My goal by the end of my senior year, is to have the highest accumulative GPA and become the Valedictorian of the class of 2018. In order to accomplish these goals, I need to apply myself and preform my best in all I do. I plan on putting my best in each assignment, because everything adds up and it all leads to an over all outcome. If I am able to focus on my grades and apply myself inside and out of school, I will accomplish my goals.

  A person that is a hero to me is my mom. I would say my mom is very special to me because she's always been there for me when I need her. She is someone I can always go to for help. She gives me the best advice when I need it. We might have some arguments but at the end of the day, I still love her. She's not only my mom, but my best friend. I am really lucky to have her in my life. 

A person that I look up to is my mother because she has done so much for me these past years. She is hard on me because she knows that I can be successful in life and she want me to do better in life so I don't struggle as much like her. M y mom is my hero and I look up to her but I don't like to show it and she gets mad. My mother is a very hard worker and she would do anything for me and my sister, that's why I appreciate her so much.  My mom  has taught me to be responsible, and respectful towards others, I'm glad that she has helped me out these years even in school and right now she is trying to finish school which makes me really proud of her. I want to make my  mom happy, she deserves it and I am grateful to have a mom like her.

I'm glad that she has taught me these things because it has made me who I am today. I want to make my mother proud because she deserves it and I thanks her all the time.

Christian Perales October, 2016 If you had to choose a major, what would it be? The major I would choose to pursue in college would be Business. The reason for this is because I have always had an interest in Business. I even took business classed at the University of Michigan’s Ross school of Business through an MREACH program. Through the program, I was able to learn many different parts of business from accounting and finance to entrepreneurship. I want to go into business, but I am not entirely sure what aspect of business I want to study. If I go into business, for the first two years I will be given the basics and that will help me narrow down what I want to choose. 

          Today in the IT department I spent another day working on computers and on Frank's trinkets. In the morning Sean wanted me to setup a new computer and make it ready for the office. Once I had finished that, with a couple of bumps along the way, Sean wanted me to find out how a car battery was going to power four cameras, a receiver, and a WiFi router. After I hooked everything together Sean then showed me how to power the mess. When that debacle was over I proceeded to tinker around with Frank's toys. I managed to figure out how the pen camera and mini projector work. One of the last big tasks I had to complete for the day was to refurbish and old computer. Sadly I was not able to because I didn't have the old password for system recovery. Sean was gone but I texted him and went to lunch. During lunch my curiosity was still high and I fiddled a bit more with Frank's projector. After lunch I tried to figure out how to work a different camera but was unsuccessfu

Goals The goal I had for this week was to try my best at the PACT. I felt I've accomplished it, and I did so by studying up on the things I didn't understand or just need a refresher on. The goal I have for this month is to just try not to overindulge on Halloween candy, so I'll just eat it in moderation.  The goal I have for this school year is to stay on top of my homework and grades. I'll accomplish this by just finishing homework in a timely manner and studying up when a quiz or test approaches. My Day Today went alright, I finished up the scans Steve gave me from last week then helped him with the invoices and other scans. A lot of great music came on Pandora so I was pretty happy with that.  

      Here are the three goals I have set to myself. Goal for the week :     My goal for this week is to do all my homework , and try my best on every class and assignment I get. Goal for the month :     The goal I have for this month is keeping up my hard work, turning all my work on time, and trying to at least enjoy my homecoming coming up. Goal for this school year :     Now, my goal for this school year is to get a 4.0 on my GPA, getting all good grades, and continuing working hard to succeed.   

Hi, my three goals would be for this week is to help clean the house more,so my mom does not get mad at me. To accomplish this goal I will leave a note in front of the house everyday when I leave and when I come back from school I will look at it and do it.  This way my mom will allow me to hang out with my friends on the weekend. My second goal would be, to run faster and to run longer. I will run at least three days a week and for sure I should see improvement. The days that I don't go, I will run longer. My last goal for this week would be to take notes, to be able to finish my task.

The three goals that I have set for myself for this week are I will try to complete all my work here at Ideal. The reason why is because I get lots of work and its hard to try and get all of it done but I'll try and finish it all before I leave work. My goal for this month is to get my grades up as high as possible because I want to go to a good college so I must have good grades. I'll will try to study more for tests because there are very important because it helps you raise your grade and if you don't do well you'll get a low grade. My goal for the year is to have a  GPA of a 3.0 or higher because it would really look good because its something I haven't accomplished yet. I will do this by asking teachers for extra help on things and studying each day for at least 30 minutes.

          Today was a pretty swell day for me in the IT department. Today I was mostly refurbishing four old computers for company use. I had to swap hard drives and ssd's on a couple of computers. After I did that, I then proceeded to reinstall windows on those couple laptops. After the four laptops were ready and cleared of junk, I had to get them ready for company use. This means, I had to make administrator and other user accounts, upgrade them all to Microsoft Office 365, and generally making them usable. During lunch my kind supervisor, Sean, bought me chili cheese fries from a Coney Island. After I had finished my lunch I went back to work and put the finishing touches on the computers. I lastly completed my daily blog and went home.           Today I met Ted O'Leary. He is the Business Unit Manager for Ideal Setech. He is a Caucasian male who seems like a really nice guy. Meeting Someone New Today while I was working at the laptop, Steve, not Steve Snyder but a different one, was doing bottle flips. He works across from Tony's cubicle and is pretty cool. I watched him do a lot of bottle flip tricks, he must be practicing everyday because he's really good at it! I kept trying to imitate him but I stood no chance against his skill. He told me my homework for the weekend was to practice bottle flipping. Hopefully I can reach his level of skill!

Hi today what I did was found my table and sat down, I started cleaning the cabinets, after that I searched up, Bill since I was gonna meet him and I had to make my elevator speech.I made a green Halloween flyer and I hanged it around the building. Then I went to a office which it had supplies and I grabbed some file folders, envelopes, and pens.  I met Dennis Knitel and he is pretty cool, he calls me Wally Palmer because that guy took his girlfriend and he said I look just like him and he also said he wont take it on me but every time I see him he calls me Wally. Dennis is a really friendly person, I asked him a few questions and one of them was what college he went to and it was a Community College. His hobbies are Golf and as a kid they were Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, and Football. He has two children all grown up, it was nice meeting him. 

   Someone new I met today was Kelly. She has been working at Ideal for 2 and a half years. She works mostly on web design. The college she went to was Oakland University. What she likes to do on her free time is play guitar, listen to Indie and Old music, plus she likes going to concerts as well. She was a nice person to meet, it was nice meeting her. 

Today I met Trevor who works in Ideal Accounting he was an intern here at Ideal then got hired full time. He's been working here for three years now. He graduated from Wayne State with a scholarship then went on to work here. He owns two dogs a pit bull and a chocolate Labrador. His hobbies are bowling, gaming, and playing men's baseball and softball. He plays in a league for baseball in Lincoln Park and considers himself a good player. He told me he got college offers to play division III baseball but took the scholarship to go to Wayne State. He seems like a very nice guy it was a pleasure to meet a guy like him.

My Day The day was pretty okay. It does feel sorta bad because today everyone ,but the seniors and some freshman, had the day off. Really would've enjoyed one of those if I'm being honest :p. But it was an easy day though. One cool thing was that when I went to the vending machine to get something, a worker had already put his money inside and said to me he's buying! It was awfully nice of him.

If I had to choose a major it would be an Agricultural and Domestic Animal Services. I would like to have a major in Domestic Animal Services because I love animals and especially dogs. I would like to take care of someones dog while they are away or a cat. Who know this might be my major that I want to accomplish I will surely keep on thinking about it.

   If I had to choose a major it would be a major in Nursing. I would like to have a major in Nursing because I feel like is something I want to do. I would like to help people and I also want to learn more about the medical work. I know that I also need to get a  Bachelor's Degrees in Nursing . It will be probably hard to get a major on that, but hopefully I can accomplish it. 

Oscar Jimenez 10/4/16                                                               My Major            when i enter into college my major will probably be architecture. i have always had an interest in the subject.finding out all the schematics always intrigued me so that i always wanted to make grand buildings, that is why in want to major in architecture.

           Today was the first day sitting alongside my new mentor. I sat at me new area today and worked a great deal with some cameras- cameras for Frank's new product. I learned how to use, set up, and tinker with the cameras. The cameras were the main part of my morning, along with my usual routine. After lunch I had scheduled two people to get their Microsoft Office updated. After I helped those two employees I then went on to help Linzie move to her new office. Lastly I cleaned the whiteboard where the old shield area was and went off to do my blog.           The career major I have decided to learn is Computer Science because I know every company needs people like this and I have always wanted to learn how to make technology work. Until about 7 years ago, I honestly never realized how much work gets put into new technology and that programming was a thing. I think I always knew that I wanted to be on the technology scene but I never knew where to start. Once I learned that

My Major I've been thinking about what I'd like to major for awhile now and I've come to the conclusion that I'd like to study Medicine and become a doctor or study law and become a defensive lawyer. Learning medicine can be useful in every day life but I might just settle for a basic doctor, I don't know if I'd have the stomach to participate in surgeries. As for studying law, it' would help with reasoning and probably my ability to write, but from what I've heard lawyers spend a lot of their time in court rooms and it can get annoying or boring in there.
