Ideal Group Interns

Today was a good day I helped out Sean by working on his invoices. Then I went to mail something that needed to be mailed and after went back to work. Soon lunch time came and it went well because I got free food and I was full. After lunch I went back to helping Sean and that was my day.  MERRY CHRISTMAS! Jose Perez

Today was just something else. I started off my day working on safety meeting things. It turned out that the meeting had to be re-sheduled because of so many conferences that were going to go on. After re-scheduleing I still continued to work on meetng things. Virginia asked me to decorate the Christmas tree for her, and I did, it was lots of fun. I went to lunch with Amanda and Hilary, it was a great lunch! After lunch I put fruit away from the meeting earlier and I tried setting up the color scanner. It didn't work out. Then I made a charge card authorization card and when I noticed it was time to go. Overall my day was great. See you next year!

Today was good but I didnt do much today. I came in and started off by doing new hired folders for Yesi; it didnt take me long. When I was done I started to do I-9 forms and put them in order on big folders which took me all morning. Lunch came so I went to the Roman Village with Yesi and Linda to meet some ladies, we had a good conversation and they asked me how Cristo Rey works and if I liked it and of course I said yes. We were done eating so we headed out to Ideal and continued to do the big folders.Overall, my day was good. JP

Working at Ideal takes a lot of energy. It's worse than school because you actually have to stay alert and pay attention through the whole entire day and you have to get most of your work done before the day ends without play. But I came here for a purpose and so sometimes you have to do what you got to do. Today I did a few new things such as the mail, which isn't new to me, but I did it by myself. I got through a lot of it but when Edna got back she still had a little to do too. Also, Gary had a new task for me which was to enter data into MAS, and it was easy once I got into it but the computer was acting up a  little. I, for Sylvia, made sure the dishes were washed inside the dishwasher and then put them up after it was done. I wrapped some gifts this morning too, although there was only two to wrap. But that was the best wrapping I ever did in my life. Everyone left today for big gatherings and such and this was the first time I've ever been in this building where it w

Today was great. My tutor came and helped me do my homework like always, then we reviewed some vocabulary words that I need to study and make into sentences. When she was gone I started doing PDPM's and hard dollarfolders, it took me all morning to do. I went to lunch and had a good Torta with Yesi, Linda and Glenn. Glenn ate too much burrito which affected how he felt afterwards.We came back and started to mail some papers. When I came downstairs I saw Edna doing the mail which they never called me to help with but I did help a little. When I finshed they needed me to wrap some toys and clothes they bought from the store which was fun with Amanda and Sarah. It was an effective way to spend my day. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a simple day I started out by checking my email to see if I had anything important to do. After I went to see if Sean needed my help, which he did. I worked on matching invoices for the rest of the morning. Then Kelly and Edna had some invoices that need to be mailed and I was happy to help so I finished mailing them and went to lunch. I had a good time at lunch just listening music. After lunch I went back to work and I helped Amanda with payroll and that was my day. Jose Perez*

Today was an ordinary day. I started out by helping Sean with his regular work and did a file cheack. After I went to lunch were I had a good time by myself just listening to music. Then when lunch was over I went to do the mail and there was so much it took an hour. Soon after went back to work and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today was kind of a slow day for me. I came in while Keli was in her usual Friday  meeting and received some work from Gary. After I finished that, Keli came and gave me more work that pretty much lasted me the whole day. This assignment consisted of me looking up these certain words or phrases and see what we rank on Google.com. This task was new to me but once I started it, it went by pretty quickly although I didn't get to finish because there were 500 of them to get done but I got pretty far in. In between working on this, I went to lunch with Keli and had a large sandwich called the Jerk from a place called Mudgies. Weird right? But it tasted great so I won't complain. After lunch I continued my task from this morning until I was called to help with the mail. When that was finished I went back to my task and before my day was done, I managed to get up to 329 on this assignment of mine. Today was a good day. I started helping Linda with checks, 10 minutes later my tutor showed up. She helped me do my Chemistry homework and showed me how to do the problems. It was a good thing she helped me because she show me how to do some shortcuts on my chemistry homework which was awesome! Then she gave me some homework so I can practice. After that she checked my plannerto see if I wrote my homework in it. She left and I went helped Yesi by making some new hired employee folders. Lunch came and I had a good meal. After that I went with Edna to do the mail like always, there wasn't much mail so we finished it fast. Then I went with Frank in the shop where he was showing visitors what the company makes, it was fun. Then I started to do the big folders that I was doing last week it took me the whole day. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was an ok day it was pertty quite I started out by helping Sean match POs to invoices all morning. Kelly and Ednahad need help to  mail some envelopes so I had so focus on that for a while. After finishing the mail I went back to work then after went to lunch. At lunch I had a nice quiet time because not that many people were here. After lunch I went back to work on Sean’s work and that was my day. Jose Perez**

Today was quite an eventful day. It started off slow though where I just did my usual for Gary. Then today I finsished off the CD case and did the inventory at the same time so it didnt take as long and it wasn't as boring. It's really ironic because before lunch, my work load was really light. Then after lunch, I hear people calling my name asking for me to do all types of things when I really only agreed to one or two. :-) The perks of being an intern is you get to do all the work no one else wants. But besides that, Frank came in and congradulated me on my good grades this quarter, and he said I might be getting an iPad! Hard work pays off for sure. Anyhow, I helped Edna with the mail and filed. By far my most exciting day here at Ideal!

Today was a good and productive day, I feel as if we have accomplished a lot. We even got everything off of Frank's desk for Daniel to clean in the morning. In the morning, I checked my e-mail and had a couple of task to do for Sylvia. I also had to make an event folder that Amanda had asked me to do the day before. After I finished that, I made a couple of copies, entered some contacts, and scanned a couple of letters. I helped Edna with the mail after lunch, then started working on this translation cleaning sheet. I haven't finished the excel spreadsheet yet, but I will on Monday. I asked Loren for receipts, he did not have any. As I had mentioned about Frank's desk being cleared off, Sylvia and I had washed some of his items that were on his desk. My day could have gone better.....if I had finished the excel spreadsheet. The reason for that is, I don't like leaving unfinshed work. Well off thill Monday. GoodBye.!

Today was a busy day but it went great. I started by doing checks with Linda, it didn't take me long. My tutor came and started we by doing my homework, after that we practiced algebra as a review and talked about putting my daily homework on the planner so that I don't forget to do it and to be more organized. We also talked about how college was and what you have to do there. Then she left, since she had to go early today. So I went to Yesi and help her do some maling. After that I made new  folders for new hire employment and filed them. It didn't take me that long to finish. Yesi had five big folder full of I-9 forms that had to be organized alphabetically. It was a lot of work. It took me all day, lunch came and I and Linda went to a hamburger place and had a great meal. We came back and I went with Edna but I was too late to do   the mail. I went upstairs and helped Yesi on some envelopes she needed to mail out, I was up and down in the building all day. I finished an

Work was okay. I did learn a new task, that is entering the total hours for Sylvia and Loren. I had to go thru this long list of calendar days and put down the amount of hours they were occupied fro that day and event. It was pretty easy just a lot of information to look at. I got thru it rather quickly I may say. Other than that, I put some more water in the fridge and put some things back in Frank's office. For lunch, I walked to the store..It was a nice little walk considering it looked so nasty outside this morning. That pretty much consisted of my day, other than that I talked with Amanda and got some work done.

Today was an OK day I started out by helping Amanda with some envelopes that needed to be sealed. After finishing sending the mail. I helped Sean with his invoices but I only need to match them. When the matching was done I starting working on the credit cards for a while then I went to lunch. At lunch I had a good meal then my mom called and we had a conversation but didn’t last long. Despite thee ugliness outside, work was pretty good. I started my day off checking my e-mail and making sure I finished everything from yesterday. Sylvia and I sorted some of Frank's things in his office. Were getting close to finishing it, just a couple of more organizing. Hopefully by tomorrow his office is all clean and nice. After lunch I sorted the mail and stamped the invoices. Did some research and completed some task. Thee only thing really left is finishing Loren's expense report.....Other than that I completed my task for the day and will be returning tomorrow. Tomorrow, is going to be a finishing up day, because we have to finish Frank's room and I have to finish Loren's expenses. Hopefully it's not as ugly outside, they say it's suppose to snow tonight, light flurries. Back to work...I don't believe I learned a new task today.....but my day could have gone better if I have worn a shirt with more sleeves. Ugh.! I HATE THE WINTER.

Today was a good day, I started off my day sending out packets that came back because of labeling errors. I forgot to put in the address so I had to remake the labels and send them out again. After that Sylvia asked me to print out a couple of helpful articles on the My Amigo Scooter. That task didn't take too long, I began to make a flyer for our Angel Tree Adopt-A-Family, but Amanda gave me a more important task to complete so I put the flyer task aside. Amanda asked me to organize a list of names for a mailer. It took me all afternoon, and I still haven't completed, but hopefully next week I'll be able to complete it.

I've been out for about 2weeks, but I feel as if I have never left. Work was as usual, helped Edna with the mail, entered some contacts, and put in receipts. My trip to Texas was okay, can't complain. Holidays were good as well, we went to my boyfriends mom's house first then he headed to my mom's for my thanksgiving. It was nice, lots and lots of good food. Now, it's back to work! I got a puppy while I was in Texas, she's a blue pitt. Her name is Hindu. Since I did not work Thanksgiving week, I stayed at home and played with her. She is a big responsibility as a child and I think having her will teach me how to stay on tracked and responsibility. A puppy is like a new born and work in some ways, you always learn new things and have some challenges. Well, this is my blog for the day, now it's off to Hindu.

Today was a busy day for me. I started off in Accounting where I did some filing for Jennifer and did some of Yehya's filing even though he isn't here. Then For Jennifer, I seperated some papers and after that, she asked for me to do something new which was to call some people and ask about the invoices we  have yet to recieve. For some reason I was nervous but tried it anyways. After the second call, I was pretty much done with it but later on I figured that calling people is better than filing any day. Next though, I came back for work from Keli and she gave me a case full of CD's in which I had to go through to make sure they all worked. Most of them did  but a few and no offense to my supervisior ,whom is what any intern could ask for, but that was the most boring job that  I have been givin yet.:) Then of course after I finally finished the first case, here comes Keli with another that seems to contain even more CD's than the first! Today was great. I came to Ideal and waited for Linda or Yesi come in. While I was standing, waiting for them I practices Latin on my iPad. Linda came and she made me do some PDPM or hard dollar folders, I put them in order and filed them. Later, Mrs. Rowe, the priciple of the the school of DCR, Mr. Khory, the president of the school, and 3 other seniors came for a meeting which I didn't know about. I joined the meeting and talked about how to get scholarships and how great was to have the iPad to help us for school and especially for the ACT test. The meeting was over and I started by helping Yesi with some payroll papers after that I did my homework. Lunch came and Yesi went to bring me a Torta which was pretty good. I finished and started to help Edna for the mail like always but this time since it was Monday it was a lot of mail, so we had a hard time. I finished and went upstairs to help Yesi on some new hire folders, I filed them and I finished. Overall my day went great. J

Today started off simple. I came in and bound some papers for Sylvia, which of course took me little to no time at all. Then I did some deleting for Keli and Brian on an excel spreadsheet which wasn't boring. After that was all done I went to Gary for something to do. Of course I did the same thing as usual. Put some papers in order, Scanned them and put them into their right virtual folders in the computer. But after lunch was when my day really sped off. By that time I had to finish work for Gary, Yehyah, and Sean and help with the mail. Of course, the type of genius I am, I finished it all before it even hit 3:30. My day was fun. I talked and worked with Yehyah and had Gary and Keli helping me with my math, thank goodness, and  everyone congradulated me on my well earned 3.2 gpa. Today was a good day!

Today was fun. I started off doing the mail for Contracting from yesterday, but my tutor, Andrea, came without me knowing she was coming. She and I talked about the things I was having trouble with in math. She helped me do my homework and review the things I didn't know. We started  talking about my future, what I wanted to be, what University I wanted to attend and especially grades, it was a long talk but it was worth it because I learned new things. I thought Andrea was going to be a mean tutor but she ended up being a cool, nice person. She left and I went to Yesi to do some new folders for new hired employment. I didn't finished because lunch came, and Yesi, Linda and I went to a restaurant. We came back and I went to Edna to do the mail again, then I went upstaris and finished my task and mailed some papers and checks. Overall my day went great. JP

I had a feeling that today was going to be a busy day, but I love busy days. I started of my day mailing out thank you packets to some of the DHDC sponsors. It was a task that had to be completed before the mail came so it could be sent out, luckily I finished in time. Then I created an event folder and a flyer. I had lots of fun making the flyer. After that I gathered some things for the safety meeting. Since there was a lot of work to be done out in the shop, the meeting was rescheduled to tomorrow. During lunch Amanda and I went for a coffee, then I helped Edna with the mail as soon as I got back. After the mail, I had to create a shedule for my life. It was probably one of the hardest task all day. I printed three copies when I finished and taped them to my desk and Amanda's. My last and ongoing task was to search keywords in Google and find their ranking. I'm not done since it's a pretty long list and I started at the end of the day, but I will continue to work on it n

Today was a normal day I started out by making a few errands for people. First I helped Amanda mail a huge amount of mail then helped others. After the mail was done I did payroll for Ideal  Setech but Barely had time because the mail came late. When the mail was finished I went to go work on my essay and Amanda helped me out with the editing I had and the paper turned out to be great. In the end today was a successful day. JOSE P.

Happy Veterans Day! First off, my day was pretty simple. I came in while Keli and Brian were in their meeting so I went and got a little work from Gary. Just the usual stuff. Organise papers, scan them then put them into specific folders on the computer. After that, I just finished some work I had from last week then got more easy work from Gary. I went out once again for lunch with Brian, Keli, and Kara to this Thai place and it was really good. I ended my day helping Amanda K. with some papers she wanted to mail out, and in the process learned some new things about some of my coworkers. I had a good day!

Today was a great and busy day. I came to Ideal and started off doing PDPM and hard dollar project it took me all morning to do it. When I finished I started by doing the mail for contracting from yesterday then when I was finished I started off by doing my homework I finished it and head out to lunch with Linda. When I was back the mail was already done so I headed upstairs and did the mail for Contracting. More PDPM came so I had to file them again. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a very long day I started out by helping Sean with his invoices. After working on invoice for awhile, Kelly had something to mail so I did that then I went back to working on invoices. When lunch came I wasn't ever hungry so it went by fast. After lunch the mail was here and I got started. In a few minutes it was finished. Today was a good day I started of my day entering contacts for Amanda. Then I worked on a lot of papers. I rewrote a thank you letter and an iPad essay. I also did an inventory for the supply cabinet in the kitchen. I emailed Virginia a list of needed items. I filed a couple of event folders and then continued working on a letter. I guess it was just one of those days when you have to write a lot. I went to lunch with Amanda, Linzie, and Sylvia. After lunch I binded presentations for both Group and Contracting. And helped out Edna with the mail. My afternoon had me out of my chair for the most part. I had a good day here at Ideal, yet again.

Today was my Monday to come into work. I had a good day. I entered a few contacts into Amanda's outlook. Then Amanda and I went out to a meeting at DHDC with the Detroit Tigers and talked about some future events. It was a good meeting and I enjoyed watching how women can really know there job and just get things done. After lunch we came back into the office and I continued working on a thank you letter. Today is Monday, so usually that tells you it's a busy day. As always when I first get here I check my e-mail to see what I need to start off doing. After I finished that I had some task on my desk to complete. Once I was finished with all those task I made some packages for this meeting Frank and Loren had, I also set the conference room. By that time is what lunch, I went to my moms for lunch as usual. As I got back I seen the mail had not come yet, so I entered some contacts and asked Loren for his receipts. Once I put that information in, I called Mary Sue back with some additional information about the guest attending. Finally around three thirty I will say the mail came. It took about an hour to sort it out, get it all stamped, and ready so Sean and Edna can process them in the computer. Now, I am just writing my blog and seeing what I will be doing next..... Today went by so fast, when you are busy doing your work time tends to go by really fast, that is why I like to keep m

Today really challenged me on patience. Patience with myself and my work. I am really not used to sitting down for hours just typing and making spreadsheets all day, so after the first thirty minutes has gone by and im still not finished with my work I get  fustrated with myself. But today I used that energy to try and come up with different ideas to help me move faster. To get the work done faster ,without any mistakes, and I did. So that was a major accomplishment for me because I had about three spreadsheets lined up for me in one day. But luckily I finished it all before it even hit two. Other than that though I got to go out for lunch once again with Keli, Brian, and Amanda for Middle Eastern which was delicious. So I am leaving today happy and satisfied with my work and today overall.

Today was great here at Ideal.I had work and finished it all by its due date. But by the end of the day, Keli had given me plenty of work that of course I couldn't fifnish at the time so I have something waiting for me when I come back Friday. But I didn't help with the mail, which is unusual for me. But today was really chill and I got to enjoy another day here at Ideal.

 Today was great. I started to to do the mail from yesterday it took me half my morning, when I finished I helped Linda on some folders she needed to file on the PDPMs' and hard dollar projects. Then when I finished I went downstairs to get my iPad which was awesome, it had apps to teach me and improve in school. Then I did my homework when I finished I started to look at what the iPad had on it. Lunch came and I went to lunch with Yesi, Linda, and Chelsea. When I came back to Ideal I started of by doing the mail with Edna I finished and went upstairs and finished my task I was working  on, expenses reports on the computer. Overall my day went great. Today was a good day, I started out doing payroll which is what I do every morning. It took me a little less time to do payroll this time because there weren't much invoices to enter. After payroll was finished I went to go help Amanda with things she needed to mail. After that I went to lunch and had a good time eating my candy.Soon after that the mail arrived and that had to be done. Talk about the world ending in 2012, were has it gone? How did we get to November so soon? I need to start focusing more on what I need to do for myself before time runs out....Just a sidenote. Work was usual, except now instead of worrying about the Dream Maker's Gala Event, I have to worry about thank-you letter's and making sure everyone who participated in the even gets recognition. Other than that I did do the mail but not with Edna with Osmara. My day went well I can say overall, it was a strong 9! Now, it's winding down to five o'clock and i'm getting ready to gto home, I am still recovering from the event. Yeah, I know it's been five days since the event but man event planing and making sure things are together is tough. So glad that is not my real job. Well it was fun, but now it's time to read this to Sylvia and Amanda and pack up.

November came so fast! I've been putting my attention a lot toward college. Even though college is important, I still have work (: today I started out brainstorming with Amanda about college and what colleges I want to apply to. Then I created events in Frank's calendar. I learned how to send things and update them in a faster way. Then I asked Amanda to help me revise an essay. Aft lunch I binded and entered contacts. Overall my day was great.

Today was a good day. I can tell that I'm getting used to working here because I'm getting my work done much faster. I went out to lunch with Brian and Keli and did a little easy work for Gary and found a little busy work for myself after awhile. I did not help with the mail today but I did end up doing some work for Sean. So while doing some work for him I learned something new, how to file his stuff and some of the things he has to do here at Ideal. I got to sit in on a meeting for the first tome since I've been here and that was cool too. Just another day for another dollar (that I dont get to keep).

Wow today was a very busy day.! I'm surprised I got everything done before 5. My day started off pretty normal, I added some things on to the calendar, and sent out an invite. I also went to DHDC with Amanda to pick up the tin cans for the raffle, after that I mounted signs on to this black foam board for the event. After lunch, I made some phone calls regarding Western International pictures and sent out some important e-mails to people regerding parking. I did some many more things but I thought not to mention them. I did not help Edna with the mail today because for one there wasn't really any mail. Now, it's time to go home and get ready for tomorrow because the event is finally here.! BUSY BUSY DAY FOR TOMORROW.

I did not come to work yesterday (Monday) because I had a doctor's appointment, so today I had to make up from yesterday and tomorrow I will be working since I did miss Monday, but it's good because I can make up my hours, also Thursday is the event..wow time flies by fast. I remember when I first started working here, on my first day I went to the meeting at DTE about the event but I didn't really know anything about it. Thursday I will actually get to see everything put together and see how it all worked out, which I'm pretty excited about. Now about my day, today was okay. I had a bunch and bunch of work on my desk when I got here, but surprisingly I got it done rather quick. As usual I helped Edna with the mail after lunch and did a couple more task. Sylvia and Amanda S had went to a meeting at DTE so I've just been finishing up task, looking up information, and talking to Osmara. Now, I'm going home to relax and get plenty of rest for tomorrow, for some rea

Today was a very busy day. I went with Linda and she gave me a bunch of stacks of papers to put them in order apperantly it took me all morning to order them. When I was finished I did all my home work I had to do and I finished them woth out no hurrys. Lunch came and we ate Chili that Linda brought. Then I filed some folders I went downstairs Edna wasent here so Sean helped me and seens it was monday it was all lot of mail I got a little tired but we finished it all. Overall my daty went great.      My day was pretty bussy. It starting out really slow though because Keli wasn't here of course because she is apparently on vacation so she set up my email and things and gave  me a little project to do, which was bind a lot of papers. I guess she thought it would take me all morning but only took me five seconds because that was the only thing she gave me. She had more work for me but the instructions were with Brian, and guess what! He was in a meeting for a big portion of the morning. So, instead  I got a little work from Gary which was done pretty quickly then went and filed some papers for Yehya. After all that work though Brian was out of his meeting and he brought out the real work for me. So since then I've been working on getting all this information and putting it onto a spread sheet. Which isn't very difficult at all but it can take up alot of your time. Of course like always, I helped Edna with the mail, and is still exciting about my computer name and emai

Today was pretty good can't really complain, the weather was pretty ugly but that's a different story. Work was good, I had many task to do like update the calendar, sort the mail with Edna as usual, make some folders, scan papers, research, and send some e-mails. I did do something new today and that was Sylvia's notes, all I had to do was copy them from her notebook and place them in the computer. Pretty easy right.! I did go with Amanda to pick up the carry out for the meeting, so I got to feel how ugly it was outside. Umm, I did finally call the Admissions at Wayne County, I already explained the details, so no point of writing them down... But yeah that's pretty much my day. Tomorrow's Friday so I don't have work, but I do have a lot of other things to do, but that's a different story as well.... Welp till Monday blog, Sylvia, and Amanda!

Today was a busy day but I had fun. I came and worked with Linda helping her do checks and giving them the right person. Then I finished and I set up my new computer. I was pretty exaited about it because I'll do more work to keep me busy until the end of the the day and learn new things which I did. Today was a very busy day. I started out by doing the payroll for Setech which took all morning. Then I had to prepare for the lunch meeting for Frank and had to help Sylvia. After the meeting I went to lunch and had a little break but then had to go back to work. I finished sorting and then went back to helping Setech. That concluded my day. JOSE PEREZ**

Today was an interesting day, not much really happened today but I feel like somethings going o...I can't put my finger on it. Anyways, I did learn a new task and that was a check request form it's sort of like the credit card authorization form. Also, I have no idea who wrote the work instructions for the card authorization but it's i don't know how to explain it. The mail was really short today, which kind of surprises me... Let's see what else I did.....I e-mailed some people, took some pictures of the items for the Auction, made a couple of spreadsheets, and organized my stuff a little. My day could have gone better if, it wasn't so ugly outside. Bad weather makes me tired and stuff.

Tuesday, Today was a good day. I started off my day entering contacts into Amanda's outlook and made a flyer on tipas how to prevent the flu, since the flu season is coming. Then I worked on the safety walk thrus. I went out to the shop and made sure that all machines where being updated. When I got back inside I started updateing the excel spread sheet. I finished everything before lunch so that Amanda and I could go to eat. We went to Hard Rock Cafe, it was very good! After lunch I prepared for the safety meeting. I set up the conference room and gathered everyone in. The meeting went by good, and everyone left satisfied. After the meeting I updated the file with new content and saved it. In the afternoon, I researched colleges and read the DCRHS newsletter. Overall my day was great.

Today came out to be a fast day for me, as soon as I came in I had work to do. I finished most of it before lunch, after lunch the mail bin was full and Edna isn't here so I sorted it all by myself. Finally Jose and Sean came back from lunch so they finished helping because I had to go to the DTE meeting about the Event. When I got back it was about four. So my day really has gone by fast. My day could have gone better if Edna was here, but other than that my day went fine.

Today was an average day, but I had fun. I started out by doing some work for Setech for the first time in a long time. I  had to file. After filing, I had  some spare things to do like help Sean do his invoices and payroll. While I was working on invoices, Amanda said it was time for lunch, so we went out and I had a great time. When I came back to Ideal, I went back to work and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ*

Today I did alot of work for Gary mainly. Just a lot of little things here and there. I binded papers for Sylvia and Amanda. I did the mail of course but with Sean since Edna wasn't here today. I didn't do as much as usual today but I did find that I know most of my coworkers' names which is great.  That was my day!

Today was a good day, I started by helping Linda on some checks and sending them with the right worker when we finished I helped on some papers which was something new for me it was kind of hard but I did it. Then lunch came and I had a good break. When I was done and did my homework I was finished and I went downstairs to say hi to Frank and talk. Overall my day went great.

Today was a normal day as always I kept busy. I started out by doing the pay roll for Setech which took me all morning. Then I started to do some work for Sean but didn't get to finish because it was lunch time. At lunch I worked on my essay and had a good time eating. After lunch I was waiting for the mail but it never came so I moved on and finshed Sean's work and that was my day.

In exactly one hour I have my scholarship interview, i'm not nervous yet but when the time come's I know I will be. Work was good as usual, I did my normal morning routine of checking my inbox to see what Sylvia had sent me to do. After I am all finished with that I did some other task like research, packages, mail, and contacts. I would say overall I had a succesfull and nice day. Now I have work out of my mind I need to figure out what I am going to say at the interview. As you hear i am very nervous now........

I started off my day adding a couple of changes to my iPad essay. Then I added a few contacts into Amanda's outlook. When I was finished, I started to work on my safety meeting items. I mad sure things where right and i only made a couple of changes. I was then tasked to organize some cabinets and some papers. Lunch came soon, so Amanda and I went to Avalon, It was actually a great lunch. After lunch I worked on m tasks. The mail came and since there was only one bin and it didn't take much time. I then continued to work on a couple of tasks I finised most of them. Overall my day was good.

I need to start remembering to write my blog everyday, I tend to get distracted by other task. Any who, yesterday went by so fast I couldn't believe it. As soon as I walked in I had a table fool of task and I completed them by lunch, I was very proud of myself for that. After lunch the mail did not come because it was Columbus day, so I know today (the 11th) there's going to be a lot of mail. I need to  prepair myself for that..... I did learn a new task and that was Franks Magazine Subscriptions. Sylvia said, she's going to make me the queen of that. I did more task after that but they were task that I know how to do, so I prefer not to talk about them. Overall I had a good and succesful day yesturday. Well see what happens today........

Today was a good day. I started off my day adding contacts into Amanda's outlook. I was a bit behind in them, but I finished them all. I also created a couple of folders for Amanda, concerning various events. I was given a 2 day task. I have to write an essay on the iPad and how I see it helping Detroit Cristo Rey. I finished my first draft and I already typed it. Tomorrow Amanda is going to take a look at it and I will finalize my task. I was asked if I wanted to volunteer at the DHDC Gala, and I agreed to, I'm actually very excited.I come in to work tomorrow also. I'm excited to see what a new day brings tomorrow.

Today was work. I accomplished many tasks and pretty much finished my day off with nothing left. I came in while Keli and Brian were in a meeting and started checking folders and seperating them to see wheather they were damaged or not. I had to go through 3 boxes! I helped Gary again today but not as much as usual. Just a few things here and there. Of course I helped Edna with the mail and Yehya with the filing. Its all work and no play here at Ideal. Anyways, Keli, Amanda, and Brian took me out to eat middle eastern food which again was a first for me, and it was delicious! Benefits of being the youngest intern! Life is good.

Gregarious is to be SOCIABLE, which I need to work on because I am very shy and you can't be shy at the Ideal Group.  Anyways, my day went day went fine considering I am not in a very good mood... But you can't let that stop you from anything. Well today I had a couple of task to do in the morning like, update a couple contacts, put the logo pictures in the folder for Amanda so she can have for the Dream Maker's Event, and make a couple packages. As usual after lunch I helped Edna and Sean with the mail. I aslo made some floders and learned a new task. I learned how to make the receipt paper to give to Sean, that was pretty easy. Now every Monday I have to ask Loren when he comes in if he has any receipts that I can put into the spreadsheet. Sylvia had me write a paper about my ideal day at work, home, and college so I did that. I actually wrote alot, which I didn't think I was going to do and I read it out loud to make sure it made sence. That technique really works,

Today was fun. First I went with Linda to help her do payroll and putting them in the envelope all day.Then I started to do my homework wich I finished it all. Later on I went to lunch I finished and did the mail for Contracting its pretty hard to know wich ones go to but ill know. In the end of the day Yesi helped me to do a work study sheet that I needed to fill out. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a very long day because I did payroll all morning. It took me a while to finish payroll but I got it done then went to lunch. During my lunch Frank pulled me in to his office.In Franks office we had a long conversation about my future and how its my responsibility to stay on track to a good future. After the meeting I had many things to think about but continued my lunch. After lunch I did the mail with Edna and had a good talk about what I have been doing. When I finished the mail I went to work for Gary entering pictures onto eBay and that was basically my day. JOSE PEREZ*

My day started off pretty fast past, I had to make packets for the meeting that was going on today. As usual I helped Edna with the mail after lunch. After that I did my normal of making packeges and sending them off. Now that I got the labeling going i'm doing good at it. My day could have gone better if, I was more focused. The only reason for that being is because I didn't really feel food today, but I did not let that stop me. Now it's already about to be five o'clock and were has the time gone?

Tuesday Today was a good day. I started off my day making event folders. Then I made travel event invitations. I also added new contacts to Amanda's outlook. I then had a small meeting with Frank, Linzie, and Amanda. Frank took us out to eat to El Barzon. It was very delicious. After lunch I made a couple more event invitations. Then Amanda helped me with my English essay. Overall today was a great day, like always.

Today has been a very busy day, I first made a couple new packadges that had to be sent out. Then when I came back from lunch I helped Edna, Tylah, and Sean with the mail. I also started working on the Auction Item Spreadsheet, so that was a new task I had learned. Now I just have to upload the pictures of the Donors Logo's, so Amanda can have those for the banners. After that I have everything up to date for the day. My day couldn't of got better, because it was very smooth and productive.

Today started off pretty slow for me. I did some stuff on a few spread sheets Gary had for me. I helped Edna with the mail, helped Sylvia with her mail, filed for Yehya and ended my day by helping sean with some papers. I even got to talke to some people who visited today who were from the Masco Corporation which I learned was the world's largest home improvement corporation. I was truely happy with my day because I absolutely finished everything everyone had planned for me and more.

What a day. I helped Gary alot and of course did some work for keli. I worked on the computer all day and was able to go out with Keli, Amanada, Brian, and Kara to this Mexican restaurant for lunch. The  food was fantastic. I helped Edna out with the mail of course, and suprisingly ending my day with no work. Sweet sweet success!

Today was a good day. I started by helping Linda on some payroll checks that she supposedly had to do yesterday, we were on a hurry but we finished it all on time. When I was finished I went to Rana so I could help her do some mail she needed to send. I went to luch and came back went to Edna to help her on the mail. Then I went upstairs and did my homework for a little while. I'm a little nervous today because I have a soccer game today at 5 vs CCA but I think my team got this. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a very calm day because I barley did anything.I started out by checking my to do list and I had to help Gary. On my way to Gary I found out that we had over 400 invoices to enter so I decided to do that first . In the middle of the day I went to lunch and had a good time. Today was a very long day, it feels as if five o'clock will never come and this is why, in the morning I finished mailing off the Gala invites that took no more than thirty minutes. After that Iput more contacts in Sylvia's Outlook and helped Edna with the mail. At lunch time I went to my mom's to eat some Chef Boy R'd's alphabet noodles. When I came I just did little task, and I did not finish them so I will be doing that Thursay morning.

Basically I haev been making packeges and mailing them off, I did help Edna with the mail that's going smoother. I'm really starting to become a pro at this lable making, at first I couldn't figure it out but now i'm a lable queen, don't quote me on that. My day could have gone better if my mom was at home when I went to lunch so she could of cooked me something instead of eating soup. Other than that my day went fine and productive, i'm learning many things that I will use in the future. For example, im learning basic work skills as well as team skills.

Today my day went by fast. I came to Ideal and started to do some filing for Linda, then when I finished I started to to help Rana on some folders she needed me to work on which was something new for me. Then I went to help Yesi on some papers that she wanted me to check. When I was finished with the work I went to lunch with Linda and ate some Mcdonalds. Later on I went to do the mail with Edna and we finished. Overall my day went great.

Well, today Keli  had loads of work for me. I worked a lot on the computer in excel and made binders for D.e.n.n.i.s. Too bad I didn't get a chance at the most fun thing here and go and file with Yehya. But I did get to go out for lunch with Keli. Today though I learned how to have patience with myself because sitting all day working on something for a long time requires patience in  which I'm learning to have. Anyways I finished almost everything that I was asked to,which was a success and even helped Edna with the mail again.Which is helping me learn my way around.But today was great!

Today, the most fun I learned was how to face paint and how it feels to be at work rushing all day long. Today we were setting up for the GM event so everyone was running around rushing back and forth and dragging me with them. But my accomplishment of today was that I lasted until 7. But today was really fun after all the running around anyways. There was a marachie band, food, and dancing. I even got to ride in one of the cars. Yes, ride and not drive! I got slicked into an interview, but the journalist was cool too. I just had loads of fun. But by the end of the day I was ready for sleep!

Today was my first day at Ideal and  I believe it was a very successful day for me. I learned how to file which was easier than I thought and had more practice using excel on microsoft. One goal I accomplished was that I started to actually remember a few of my co-workers name. Overall though my day was a success. I learned how to organize the mailing system with Edna and filed and organised some papers for Yehya and of course did a lot of searching on the computer for my supervisor, Keli. I was nervous at first but by the end of the day I felt I was officially an Ideal Group worker.

Today was my 3rd day of Ideal Group. My day went by helping Rana on making some folders for her. Then I filed some folders from Linda and Rana. Then I had lunch and ate some pizza which was good and then we were celebrating Tom's birthday which was fun. Later I went downstairs to do the mail with Edna I finished it and went upstairs to do my task. But I'm pretty excited because they going to give me an iPad. Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a good and busy day. I had a lot to do on my task list. I started by coming in and doing some filing for Setech and then I fixed all the errors in my journal. After I entered POs for Sean and had to file them where they belonged. Then when I was done with Sean, Gary gave me something to do and I was happy to help.After helping Gary I went to lunch and soon after did the mail.When the mail was done I went back to work and that was my day. Today was a very busy day, I had many task and learned many new task. I learned how to add appointments and scan pictures/flyers to add to the appointment. I'm starting to get the hang of the mail and being able to sort it out. Even though this is only my 2nd week I feel like I have been learning a lot. Overall today was a very fast past day. My day could have went better if..... I almost forgot I had signed up for my college classes yesturday. They said they would send me a letter in the mail about what I would have to do next, so i'm excited about that. Other than that my day's at work have been going fine.

My new task for yesturday was how to put in reciets into the computer and also file, it was a little tricky at first but I got the job done. Itwould have been a better day if I had just a little more work to do. I enjoy doing task because it keeps me occupied as well aas the time flies by. Overall yesturday was a good day and I got a lot of work done.

Today was a good day. I started off my day making event folders. Then I worked on my safety meeting things. I printed out everything that was necessary for the meeting. I stapled the packets together and was set for the meeting before lunch. I went to lunch a little early so that Amanda and I could go get a coffee at Starbucks. When I got back I set up the conference room and got things ready for the safety meeting. It was a real quick meeting since many of the attendees were really busy this afternoon. It was a great meeting overall. Diego really taught me alot! I miss him also very much here. In the afternoon helped Amanda with Tiger tickets and made a check request form. Today started off slow, after lunch time that's when I started really working. I accomplished a lot today. I even signed up for college classes. Well off till tomorrow.

Today was a very busy day I started out by filing some files in the accounting office then I had to do pay roll. Which took me a little while to finsh but I got it done before lunch then after I went to lunch. At lunch I had hot dogs that were left over from friday. After lunch I had a meeting with Sean about things I can improve on and I need help in. Today was a mediocre day. JOSE PEREZ***

Today was fun. I did some new things by helping Ranna making some folders but I pretty much worked on it all day to finishing it. I was tired though because yesturday, I played my soccer game. We lost but we did a pretty job, even though it was raining and cold we did our best. Then I went down stairs to help Edna to do the mail. But I had some good lunch, I had sloppy Joes.  Also, I'm excited to come tomorrow for the GM Ride & Drive . Overall my day went great. JP

Today was a very short day for me because I will be leaving at 12, but tomorrow I will be here from 8- whenever they need me. Overall today I was just getting things together for the Ride & Drive event, now i'm heading home and resting so I can be prepared for a busy day.

Today I basically helped Gary and Sylvia with some task, I did not finish all of Sylvia's task but I will for sure on Thursday. Also I just found out I will be helping with the event on Friday can't wait for that. Hope everything goes well, till Thursday.

Since today was my first day at Ideal I learned many things, but the one thing that stuck with me at this job is that you can't be shy or even hate people because everyone is so close here. The goal that I have accomplished today is breaking my fear of talking to people, here you can't be shy because everyone talkes to you. Overall today I just met people, went on a tour walk around the building, and had a meeting at DTE. So far I liked my first day it was very productive and enjoyable.

I started of my day entering contacts into sugar. It was a very long task because first, I had to search the name of the person and if they weren't on surplus I had to create a new contact. There was a lot to it and it took over my Monday. Throughout the day I did help Edna with the mail and tutored Linda, who is our new intern. My day was good overall. I'll be back tomorrow! Today was my first day in Ideal Group and 2nd year in Ideal. i feel proud of working in Ideal group n work with them again. Today what i did was to help Linda on some papers then i work with rena wich she made me to mail some envelopes i did. I went to lunch and then i went to work again. Overall my day went grate. JP

Today was my first day back at Ideal.I had lots of fun and learned new things like the place I was working this year. I got to know that I was able to transfer into a new department of Ideal or I can stay at Setech. Also I had a busy day with all the things I had to do and the objectives I had to finish. My first day as a senior at Ideal Group was really busy. I started of my day making an excel sheet for Amanda that she needed for the GM Ride & Drive. Then I sent Laurie Frank's calendars. I also sent out a potluck reminder. I also made an inventory on food utensils. I learned how to set up an event on someones elses calendar. It was really helpful. My day overall was really busy. We had a lot of mail so it took away all of my afternoon. My goal for next week is to make my cover sheet for the Journal. Overall I had a great day here at Ideal.

Today is the last day am working at Ideal for the week. Which today was a very fast day it went by fast with no boring parts. I started by coming in and helping out Yesi with somethings then went to help Amanda after I went to do the mail.After the mail I went back to work and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ****

Today was a fun day because I worked most of the time up stairs in contracting and I got to see how they work. I started by seeing if Spencer needed any help with something but he wasn't there so I went to go help Linda with something's . Today was a pretty interesting day. I started off my day going to the Spirt Building. Hilary, Alex and I made an inventory on all of the Cutsheets that were there. We also organized the marketing section in the building. It took us all morning. We got back around 11:45 so the remaining time before lunch we organized the marketing office. For lunch, the interns decided to go to El Rancho. We had a great lunch. When I got back, I helped Edna with the mail and then helped Alex clean out a desk. Around 3 I came back to the admin office and helped Sylvia with some unfinished work. My day went by really fast. Had a great day overall.

Today was a very good day because it wasnt to boring. It all started when I came in to work to Ideal Group when I saw Osmara and Amanda working on stuff then I went to go punch in. After I went up stairs to go help Spencer on some POs he had after I helped out Setech with some of the work they had for me and I filed for the rest of the morning. After I went to lunch with the girls and we went to Mc donalds and I got a happy meal :). After lunch I went up stairs to go help out Linda then I went back to help help Setech and that was my day. Today was a very strange day because I reply don't like Monday's but this Monday went by very fast. It all started when I came in to Idael Group I started by helping Setech with some fileing that had to be done. After I went to finsh some work for Marketing and helped up stairs and that was my day. Today was a slow day. I started off my day looking over the safety meeting things. The I looked on the Internet for magazine subscriptions. After that I continued on some community garden project. I had to call several of people for there addresses, some answered but many didn't. Then I had to create a mail merge and make labels. I then printed out invitations for the dedication of the community garden. Lunch came by, after lunch I helped with the mail, then Aundria came and it was tutoring time. After tutoring I created an excel sheet and for marketing. I had to google school districts in Oakland county and Wayne county. Overall my day was slow, but it was a good day. Osmara Zarate.

Today was a very confusing day because of all the things going around it started when I woke up to get ready at 6:30am but it started to rain so they told me to come in at 8am so I slept in even longer. After I was ready to go I came in and started to go see if Ideal Setech need help but they didn't so I went to go help Spencer. When I was finished with Spencers things I changed to go help out the community garden. At the garden i helped to lay out some cement for a floor to put the picnic tables on. After I had pizza for lunch and had a fue jokes with the guys. After I helped to lay out the path way to the flower side of the garden. Then came back to Ideal and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ**

Today was a busy day, it felt as if though the hours werent enough. I had a lot of project dealing with the community garden. My first project included creating an invitation for the community garden. Then I had to write a response letter in Spanish. Also I had to call people and ask them to please give me there addresses. I think it helped me because I practiced with my spannish. I also got a new soccer ball with soccer warmups thanks to Mr. Grant. I enjoyed the day. I did a lot of running around the office, but it was a great day overall.

Today was my first day working with Osmara at IdeAl without Diego which was every different because we always had a good time. Besides fileing all day I had a good time it's started when I went to lunch with must of the girls at Ideal I ha a good tme and a good lunch as well . I had fun talking to Osmara and everyone else about our work. After lunch I went to go help Spencer with some work.After I was done I went home and that was my day. JOSE PERE**

Today was a very hard day for because I was always doing something and I never got a breack. At first I filed then went to work up stairs. Up stairs Spencer gave me somethings to do and I was busy all day then I went to lunch. After lunch went back to work and that was my day. JOSE PEREZ**

Today at Ideal it felt weird knowing it was my last day of employment. I started my day oof today with the usual. I began to read my emails. Then Amanda sent me off to marketing and I got assigned a project that took me all day to finish. I had my lunch with my coworkers here which was great! Right after we began the mail. After the mail we finished the newsletters. Then I finished my day training Osmara with the safety metrics and that finalized my day at Ideal. Overall i had a great day! I will miss everyone!

I started of my Thursday morning updating contacts. Then I passed around a good-bye card to everyone so that they could sign it. Today was also Diego's last day. I practically spent my day with him. We worked on sending out newsletters out to GM contacts. Then lunch came by, and Jose joined us. We ordered in Jets pizza. We all ate together and shared our last day with Diego. After lunch we worked on the mail then continued don with the newsletters. Hilary helped us all afternoon. We had a good time. I am going to miss my best friend Diego. Its sad to know that he won't came back. I learned a lot from him these past couple of weeks and I will continue to learn after he leaves. My day was great overall.

Today was a good day at work. I started off my day updating cc. Then I made an event folder for Frank's trip. After I finished I completed some homework. I then printed out neccesary papers for the safety meeting. I ate lunch here at Ideal, and then went out to get a coffee with Amanda. I came back to the safety meeting, and it went well. I had a couple of errors, I learned from them. My day was actually really great. I had a good day and I will continue to learn here at Ideal.

As always in the morning when I came in I started by fieling.Then after went to go help Miguel move some boxes for Ideal Setech.after I went to lunch with Diego and had good time talking about things.When lunch was over me and Diego started the mail because it was a lot and it took time to finsh then after helped people up stairs and that was my day. Today i started off my day as usual. I began with my daily emails. Then after that i began to work on updating the GM contacts for Sylvia. That took most of my morning. Then i helped Jose do some filing and then it was lunch time. Then after lunch me and Jose started the mail. Then for the rest of the day we worked in contracting! Over all my day was excellent!

My day started off differently than usual. I help Amanda Kowalski in the morning sending out dental healthcare cards. It required some time since I had to insert them in envelopes and pasted the label on them and lastly stamp them, but I was able to finish them all. Then, I helpEd Sean in Accounting. I matched invoices to checks. It took all morning to finish those two task. Then I went to lunch with Amanda and Keli. In the afternoon I helped Edna with the mail, then I updated the safety meeting file. After that I continued on a couple of research projects. My day was good overall. Friday, July 8, 2011

Today was a very busy day I had to do a lot of work.I started by helping Spencer after I finished I help Ideal Setech with some work. After I went to to lunch and I had a good time.I started to do the mail rite after with Osmara and Diego and then did a little bet of work on the computer and that was my day.

Today at Ideal I started of my day differently. I first began to work with this project for Spencer. It took longer than we expected, but at the end we finished and learned a bit more. Then Osmara and I began to work on the safety. We did the preventative maintenance and then the walkthrough. We also updated the minutes and finalized everything for Osmara to be set and ready for Tuesay. Then we had lunch. After lunch began the mail. After the mail we began to work on Osmara's bucket list. Then I made some folders. Finally I inserted things for Yessie on the garden folder and folded shirts. Overall my day was great.
