Ideal Group Interns

Another day at Ideal where the day went by pretty fast. I started my day by filing for Ideal Setech.  There was a huge pile of invoices and it seem like it was going to take me a while, but I was finished in no time. Afterwards, Jennifer gave me an excel sheet with invoices that needed information to be attached. I looked it up on the SSQ site and it was fast and easy to process. After, Jennifer had me start pulling the prelim to get it started before I went to lunch. When lunch came, I went to the fridge to get my food and came back to my desk to eat. I had the usual PB and J sandwich with some gold fish. I got a little thirsty and then went to get some water and on my way there I had little talk with Osmara about all the plants in the garden. Lunch was almost over so I decided to go back to work doing the prelim and that’s what I did for the rest of the day.  

Today at Ideal was pretty productive. At the beginning of my day of my day I went around the office looking for work to do for people. I couldn't find any so I went ahead and asked Gary in Surplus. He asked me to input some sales products into the network which would help him out tremendously. I knocked that out real quick then I went on to ask somebody else if they need help.I asked Sylvia if she need any help, indeed she did. She asked me to organize some receipts she had and also enter them into a excel sheet she has set up for them. When I was done with that Osmara asked me to add some statistics to the ideal board so people know whats going on with our organizations. Then lunch came. After lunch I went into the sales office to help Felicia out by sorting some SETECH invoices for her. That wasn't hard at all after I got the hang of it and i got it done real quick. After that I started on a Chevrolet contact list for Hilary in Marketing. I'm determined to finish that

Today as I walked into The Ideal Group I felt very happy. I knew that when I was at Ideal I would advance in my work ethics and be a little more productive in my life. I have learned a great amount of information and am glad to be a part of this ‘ideal partnership’. I walked into the glass doors and got myself set up in the conference room. I knew that there were no computer desks to use because everyone was using one so I used the personal computer in the conference room. Shortly after, Sylvia came into the conference room to discuss some tasks with me. She told me that I had to make a spreadsheet of the amount of potatoes that were delivered to us for the garden. I went to the shop and she told me some key objectives on how to keep my productivity to a maximum while completing this task. I counted all the items and went back to my desk to create the spreadsheet. After I finished it I sent it to Sylvia and she gave me some tips on how to create a more consistent spreadsheet.

My day at Ideal went pretty good, nothing new but nothing boring. I still can’t believe school is almost over, time flies. But I’m excited to work at Ideal in the summer, let’s see how it goes this year. I came to Ideal and I started to do PDPM and hard dollar folders, it took me a while but I finished. When I was done filing I helped Rana pull out some PDPM folders, then she had me pull out a final waiver and make a copy for each folder. When i was done I gave the copies to Rana and I filed there PDPM folders. After that I went with Terry and ask her if she had something for me to do. She had me put shippers in alphabetical order. Lunch came and Chelsea, David, Katy and I went to Senor Lopes, a Mexican restaurant. I had a good meal and had our good talks. We went back to Ideal and I continued putting the shippers in alphabetical order, when it was done I gave them to Terry and I started to file subcontract papers. Overall, that was my good day. JP

            My day at Ideal went by pretty fast. I started out by helping Jennifer with the billing spend and it seemed like forever to finish it. It took most of my morning but I got the job done. I then had to make folders for companies that had a lot of invoices so that we can have an easier time looking for the papers we need. Afterwards, I went to the back room to do some filing for Defiance and Warren. When I had finished warren I went to lunch and Jennifer offered to take me to visit the park.             We went to the park and saw all the new flowers and vegetables that were growing. I had some of the best watermelon I had ever tasted and then left with Jenifer to get something to eat. We ended up going to Subway and I got a B.L.T. When we got back to the office I went and seat next to Hilary and had a talk about school and what we were doing this weekend. When lunch was over I went back to work and that was my day.  

I had an ok day at Ideal today. At the beginning of my day I came in, put my lunch in the fridge, and got situated at my desk. Then I walked around the office looking for any work I could do for somebody. Nobody had anything for me so I called Gary from Surplus to see if he had anything for me. In deed he had something for me. So he came straight over to my desk from the back building and told me everything I had to do for him. He gave me two sheets of paper of inventory products and asked me to mark each of the quantity values on the computer as zero.   I got started on that and within no time I was finished with the first packet he gave me. After the first packet it was my lunch hour. I had an Italian sub. After my lunch I got started on the second packet Gay wanted me to do. I was focused on doing my work and then Michael from sales came over and asked me what I was doing so I further explained it to him and he said "if you’re putting them as zeros then were selling a l

As I walked into Ideal today I didn’t feel too excited. Although every time I come to work I am very happy and full of energy, this morning wasn’t one of those days. I walked into the ADMIN office and was ready to start my day. I saw Sylvia, Amanda, and Osmara at their desks and greeted them all. I got ready to go to the garden to help with a volunteer group all morning. When I got there I saw some kids that were ready to conquer the day. I got some of them started on testing and placing soaker hoses in the beds. The students knew what to do so I let them take over for a little. It have them a sense of leadership. They were great and productive so then I had them shovel dirt into a pile in a certain location. This job took some time and a lot of work but we were able to complete it and have fun. After this the students left and I stayed little to clean up. Sarah took me back to the office and I ate my lunch. I had a casual lunch while I completed some work I was to finish this af

Today was a good day. I finished the subcontracting papers that Sara gave me yesterday since I didn’t have time. When I was done  Chelsea had PDPM and hard dollar checks to mail and file the hard dollar folders, so I went and filed them all. When I was done filing Chelsea handed me invoices that were attached to them, it took me a while but I finished them. Lunch came and I ate my sandwich and some M&M's that I got from the shop. When I was done with my food I started to do my English homework. My homework was done so I went and ask Terry if she had something for me to do, she gave receipts from Home Depot and had to put them in numerical order in job numbers. Then she had me do invoices and put them in alphabetical order. When I was finally done with the invoices and I hand them back to Terry and started to do the mail. Overall, that was my good day. JP

Today went by fast. I stayed busy all day. I came to Ideal and the first thing I did was file PDPM and hard dollar folders. It took me a while to do them. When I was done Patty had me pull out PDPM folders for her, when she was done she handed me back the folders and I had to file them back again. Then, since nobody had anything for me to do I went and filed all the invoices that were on top of the cabinet. It was a big pile, so it took me all morning. Lunch came and I went to the shop to buy myself some chips, cookies and a brisk, I’m surprised it got me full. I went downstairs in the conference room with Perez and we had a good talk. Lunch was over so I had to go upstairs and keep working on what I was doing. Chelsea printed the checks so I started to do material checks. When I was done Sara had me file subcontracting papers. Overall, that was my good day. JP

Today was a simple day at Ideal Group.  I started my day by walking into the building and saying hello to Amanda. We had a good talk about my grades and what we both did this weekend. After I went to talk to Jennifer about what she wanted me to do since Sean wasn't here all this week. She asked me if I could fix the cabinets so we can file much easier. Afterwards Kelly gave me a few scans to put into the Ideal network and it took me a while to get the hang of it but I was done before I knew it.                 When lunch came I ate my lunch and then asked Jose to come and have a conversation with me. We talked for a while but then it was time to go.  When I came back to my desk there was mail on my chair so it was a good idea to open it as soon as I can. After opening the mail I went to talk to Jennifer and she gave me more scans to work on and that was my day. 

Today was a productive day at Ideal. I began my day with a cup of coffee and some chocolate. I was very hyper all morning with all the caffeine and sugar.  I walked to my desk and asked Sean if he had anything for me to work on. He said to start pulling checks and then mail them out. I am starting to get used to cutting checks, so it didn’t take me long to finish. Afterward, it was time for lunch and I went to the kitchen to get my bag of lunch and went to eat at my desk.                 At lunch, I looked at some sports news and was sad to see that David Beckham had retired. Since he was one of the best soccer players of all time. Besides the bad news, I was happy to hear that Osmara got accepted into Marygrove college and hopefully I will get accepted too. After lunch I went back to work and Sean had more work for me. I had to scan some papers and put them in folders in our documents. It was a short but time killing task. Before I knew it, it was time to go back to Cristo Rey. 

Today was a VERY productive day at Ideal. My day started off by going around the office to see if anybody needed help with anything. Kelly from accounting asked me to do some picking sheets for her, which I liked after I got the hang of it. I had to take a link from my email that Kelly sent me so I could go in the network to find the item that was there and update it. After that I Went back to accounting and see if anyone else needed some helping. Felicia from accounting asked me to do some filing for her which wasn't that hard even though I really don't like filing but I had to do it with out complaining. When I was finished I proceeded to lunch. At lunch I had a beef gyro which was really good. After my lunch I helped out Osmara in admin by making a notice on the white board for the Merritt street Neighborhood clean up that is going on this weekend. It was funny to see our creative powers on the board at the same time. When we were finished Hilary from Marketing asked me

When I walked into Ideal today I was happy to start my day. I passed my key through the gates and went into the building. I saw Amanda at her desk and greeted her. She told me that I wasn’t going to be using my normal desk because Osmara was going to be in shortly. I walked down the hall to Marketing and set up at a computer there.  I turned on my computer and was ready for the day.                 I logged onto the computer and checked my email. I had many messages but most of them were from other co-workers sending me notifications. These notifications were not important to my but I still went through them. Then Sylvia came in and told me what I’m going to do in the morning. She advised me that the students from the University Preparatory Academy were coming to Cadillac Urban Gardens at 9:00. After, she gave me a list of names and had me label some envelopes for mailing. I was having some trouble with looking these names up but I worked everything out and things were resolved. I

Today went great. I came to Ideal and started to do PDPM and hard dollar folders, which took me a while because it was a big pile, I haven’t seen that for a long time but I finished it all. When I was done they were two hard dollar folders left that weren’t in the cabinet, so I had to make one for them and file them. When all was done Chelsea had me do material checks. We had difficulties printing the checks because there was paper in the check printer so we had to take them out and put check paper in and print them again, which took a while. Lunch came and I went down the shop to get some Doritos and a pop. My lunch was over, I continued doing the material checks, so I went downstairs and gave them to Rachael. Then Rana had me do the mail. It took me all afternoon. Overall my day went great today. JP

Today at Ideal was pretty much the same as all the other days here. I started my day off by continuing my Cadillac dealership list from last week. I've noticed that big states have a lot more dealerships than little states which is kind of obvious since in little states they will not have enough room to put dealerships around the state. But other than that every things been going good. My lunch came around and I had some baked chicken and broccoli. After lunch I still continued on this list and by the end of the day I only had about four more states to do before I was finished with the whole thing. So to sum it all up my day was busy and productive. MB

Today was a very exciting day. For the first time, I didn’t have to take the bus to work. Amanda picked me up from school since we had a meeting at Google and it was my first time speaking in front of a crowd. I was a little nervous but Amanda said it was going to be ok and I was going to be fine. I tried not to think about it and enjoy the ride. It’s been a while since I been to Ann Arbor and I forgot how it all looked and was excited to see all the building and structures all around.                 When we got to the city we looked for a parking garage and grabbed something to eat before the meeting started. We decided to go to Starbucks.  I had a Frappuccino and it tasked great and I tried pumpkin bread for the first time. I’m glad I did. After a few minutes, we headed to the Google building to begin our meeting. I spoke in front of a few people but it went better than I expected and went by very fast. I meet a few people that enjoyed what I talked about and had a little chat a

Today was a pretty good day at Ideal. My good friend Michael wasn't here today which was a sigh of relief. But he also couldn't give me work to do so I went around the office asking people if they need any help with anything. Sure enough somebody had some work for me to do. Hilary gave me some work to do. She is also an intern like me. She asked me to make a excel sheet with Cadillac dealership locations in it so we can send out mailers to them. Then I took my lunch at 12:00. After lunch I continued on that and it was pretty interesting to see some states that I didn't think had big automotive places in it had a good amount. Like Alaska, I think they had 5 Cadillac dealerships in in the state. But other than that I got a about half done and I will continue to work on the rest next time I'm at work. Today was an Ideal day for me.

Today as I entered Ideal I felt happy because I knew that I was going to be in the garden. When I entered the ADMIN office I didn’t see Amanda or Sylvia. I went to change to get ready for the garden.  I was ready and Sarah picked me up. When I got there the students were eager to start the day. I took a team with me to pass out flyers and go for a trash sweep. I took my team around the neighborhood and we were done quickly. I noticed that this team was a little faster and more mature than the last. After the trash sweep, I took them to plant some shrubs at Scarcyny Park. I told the history about it and the students really enjoyed it. After all this I packed my stuff and went back to the office. When I got back I took my lunch break at the conference room. I had some great things that my mother packed me and I sat to eat them with Bindu and Michael.  I took some time to talk to them and got to know both of them a little better. Today went by fast. I came to Ideal and right away went to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. I went inside the office and Chelsea told me that today I was going to sit in the front desk since Sara wasn’t here in the morning. She said I was going to answer phone calls, which went great. While I was answering calls I was doing the mail, there was a lot, so it took me a while. When I was finished with the mail I went and did a folder for Patty that I been working on since last week. I gave her the folder and she gave me invoices to put in numerical order. When that was done, Chelsea had the material checks ready, so I did them. Lunch came and Chelsea and I went to a Mexican restaurant, I forgot the name of the place but I had good meal. Then we were juts talking about what are my plans for summer. We headed back to Ideal since it was starting to get late. Sarah came so I had to grab my stuff and put it in my desk. I continue doing the material checks until it was time to

I walked into the glass doors this morning and was very tired. Then a nurse came in and told me that I was all checked in. Wait a minute; this isn’t the Ideal Group! This morning I wasn’t going straight to the Ideal Group because I had to go somewhere else. At ten o’clock I was done and went to work. My day has now started. When I walked into Ideal I went into the ADMIN office. I saw Amanda, Osmara, and Sylvia. It was a bit odd seeing Osmara in the office this early but I was glad she’s here. Then, Sylvia came to me giving me some papers and envelopes. She wanted me to get some addresses and send out the mail. I didn't find one person’s address so I called them and asked them for it. I wasn’t nervous for once and I thought that I would be good handling the phone. Then when I was done I went to see Sylvia. We went to the conference room and talked about the many tasks that I was going to get done. She also told me that I was going to work in the conference room since all the com

I had a busy day today at The Ideal Group I started my day by saying hello to Amanda. We had a little talk about my grades and then she asked if I could help her to pick up a few things at Cobo hall. I told her sure, why not, and she said to be ready in 15 minutes. Afterward I went to see Jennifer, she told me Setech was all caught up and to help Sean out. I went to talk to Sean and he said to help Kelly file. I filed for the rest of the morning until Amanda called me to get ready. We headed to Cobo hall and I had a good conversation with Amanda about my plans for the weekend. Soon enough we arrived and got everything ready. A few of the things were heavy but I got through it and was finished in no time. After everything was good to go we headed back to the car and Amanda asked if we could go to lunch after and of course, I said yes. We went back to Ideal and I got started on some more filing. Today was a good day at the Ideal group. I started off my day by getting situated at my desk and got right to work on the price comparison list that Gary gave me about 3 weeks ago. I started off the day with 775 done. By the end of my day I had 1,000 done. I think I got a pretty good amount done today. Now I have 2,000 more to go until I'm finished with the whole project. I accidentally forgot my lunch today so my good pal Michael J. Powers in sales bought me some lunch. He got me a schwarma which was pretty good. In the afternoon I continued on the project that I was working hard on to get close to done. As I was working on this I was wondering what do all of these products do, like what were their purposes to us. I'm going to have to ask Gary next time I see him. But that was pretty much my whole day from start to finish. The Ideal day. MB

I walked into Ideal today saying, “Today is going to be a good day!” I knew that I was going to accomplish many tasks today but I didn’t know what my setting was going to be like. I walked into the building and my day was born.                 I didn’t see anyone in the ADMIN office but I did see that Amanda’s belongings were on her desk. Then, I went to my desk and logged onto my computer while I struggled to take off my jacket. After I was at my desk I saw Amanda come in with a very bright dress. It was a nice dress to see because it made me feel good that it is spring. The color seemed to be glowing off of the dress and into the spiritual being that opens the hearts and minds of the low and unhappy creatures that walk past her. I said my daily greetings and went on to my email.                 After some time I went to the restroom to get changed and get ready for my trip to the garden, Cadillac Urban Gardens. I left with Sylvia and she dropped me off. She went with Sarah and I
