Ideal Group Interns

Today was a good day. I came in Ideal and helped Linda on checks so she can hand them out to the employees. It took us most of the morning doing them because she had too much to do. Since my research paper is due on Friday I asked Linda if I could work on it. I was focusing on my paper and had to do 4 to 6 pages, depends on how much we want to write. I took my time but at the same time I helped Linda on scanning, mailing checks and PDPM papers. Lunch came and Linda and I went to get pizza for the people that were working in the park. We order 4 boxes, and gave them 3, and Linda and I took 1 for us. We went back to Ideal and continued doing my research paper, I took a break and Linda handed me PDPM folders to file. I finished and finally I was done with my paper, later Linda checked my paper and she helped me to correct some mistake. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a very busy day. I started out by helping Sean enter some invoices into the computer. Then I helped Kelly and Edna mail some invoices, and that was my morning. After that I went to go help marketing with a list about the top 100 companies in America they need to be done. When lunch came I went to go get lunch with Amanda and had a good conversation about softball and soccer. When we came back I went to work on the list and that was my day.

It's almost over, senior year and being an intern at Ideal Group. Time goes by pretty fast, it's those little things throughout high school that make the journey worthwhile. Today was a calm day for me. I began my day making a hospitality list for Virginia. I decide to create a template and work instructions for it. I then gave it to Virginia. Then I began on my red books for the HMC building. I realized that we didn't have anymore red books, so I had to ask Virginia to order a few more, I printed out everything needed for the Red Books anyways, just to have it all set for when they arrived. I followed up with Abel on the PPE sheets and he gave me reports on them. After that, Keith emailed me som PM sheets. I printed some out for the HMC building. I went to lunch with Linzie, Amanda, and Hilary. We ate Middle Eastern food, my favorite. After lunch I began on a project. I have to create a PowerPoint presentation of the Scarcyny Garden and Cadillac Garden. Im almost done, but

Today was an okay day for me. I came in and, as always, I did  temp scan for Gary. I filed a little after and then put the weight of some products in a database for Gary. Keli then gave me an assignment to look up some wind farms and put the information onto a spreadsheet. Unfortunately it took me all day and unfortunately I never was able to finish let alone really start it. The one thing about making spreadsheets and using the internet as a source of information when it can be totally unreliable can make one feel very unsuccessful in finishing something. In between that though, I did a few other things for Gary, and had a talk with him about what he does. He showed me around the back building and It helped me to understand better what Ideal Surplus is about and how things work. On top of it all, It was really fun and I was able to meet more people aside from the exciting people I see every Friday in the office.

Today was a great day. Since Yesi wasn't here, I started off by helping Linda on some PDPM and hard dollar folders and filed them in the cabinet. When I was finished Linda had me to separate PDMP and hard dollar sheets and put them in order and filed them, which took me all morning. Lunch came and Linda and I went to Louie's, we had a great meal. Then we went to the bank and the post office to mail checks, it was pretty good trip back to Ideal. We headed back to Ideal and I started to my Geometry and History homework. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today went great. I started out by helping Keli make a list for bike rack keywords. When I had finished I went to go help the other Kelly mail some invoices and that took all morning. When I was finally finished with my work, Amanda took me to lunch. We had a great time eating outside in the park and having a great talk. When it was time to head back to Ideal, we stopped for some strawberry water and went back to work. Afterwards I went to help marketing make a list of stadiums that we need to contact and it was a fun task to do. Overall my day went great. JP

I began my day entering contacts for Amanda. After I finished that, I continued to work on the HMC building layout. I went back out to the building and reviewed my outline, I changed some stuff and emailed it to Jon for approval. I went to lunch with Linzie, Jesse, and Amanda. I tried vegetarian food for the first time, it was actually pretty good. After lunch I followed up with Abel on the PPE sheets. He said to follow up with him next week. I looked for Keith to try to get a clear Preventative Maintenance sheet for the HMC building, he said he would email it to me. I also emailed Susan about my HFCC plans. This is my second to last Tueday. I'm excited and nervous to end this school year, but I plan on trying to end strong.

Today went by fairly quickly. I came in and filed for Jennifer and Yehya with Jose. Then I received some work from Gary, which was to find some information on a spreadsheet and record it onto another spreadsheet. Next, I went back to Jennifer and she gave me a gigantic stack of papers to invoice. When I was about halfway through, she told me I could take a break with it and file some more so I did. When I was done filing, it was the end of my day so that was all.

Today I came to Ideal to make up a day that I missed. I only needed to make half a day which was great. I stared out by helping Setech make a list after I went to go help marketing. I helped by making a list of University and putting them into a exile worksheet.After I went to go get my sheet filled to approve I came to work and that was my day.

Today went great. I started off filing I-9 forms and putting them in the employee folders. When I was done Linda came in and had me seal the checks and stamp them. When I was done with that, Linda gave me time sheets and pull some time sheets for employee so I could scan them to her. When I finished I did PDPM and hard dollar folders. After that Yesi had me match papers and put them in a pile so Dan could signed them. Lunch came and Yesi, Linda, Chelsea and I went to Roman Village, It was a good meal. We came back, and I continued to do PDPMs and hard dollar folders and filing I-9 forms. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a very good day. I started out by entering something for Setech into Symex. After I went to go work for marketing by making a list of airports that we can sell our products too. When I was half done I went to eat lunch I had McDonald's and had a good conversation with Hilary. Afterwards I went back to work for marketing looking at magazines to see our competition and if we were advertised in any of them. When I had finished I went to get ready to go back to school and that was my day.

Today was a good day. I started off my day working on the safety meeting items. I updated all of my stuff and then went out to the shop and did the walk thrus. I then came back and updated all of the sheets again. I went to lunch early with Amanda, we went to Jimmy Johns and then sat in Campus Martius. After lunch I went straight into the conference room and set up for the meeting. We had a good meeting, and after the meeting I updated the safety actions again. I wrote Susan an email to set up a lunch meeting and made a hospitality list. Overall my day was very productive.

    Today went by fast. I started off by doing PDPM and hard dollar folders and filing them. When I was done, Yesi had me mail a paper and checks. Then I helped Linda on time sheets that she needed me to take out and scan them to her. Later Linda had more PDPM and hard dollar tasks so I spent most of the morning filling them. Lunch came, Linda and I went to somewhere good, It was a pretty good meal. When I went back I started to do my Geometry  homework which I finished. When I was done, Yesi had me do man hours, it was something new so I enjoyed it. I was done and Linda wanted me to upload pictures from Scarcyny Garden to Facebook. Overall, my day went great. JP   

First off, I would just like to say, TGIF, because I've never meant it more. My day at work today, put the icing on the cake for this week and I am now ready for the weekend. I came in and as always, did the temp-scan for Gary and then ended up adding many folders for one of the files. Both of these tasks are always simple and give me a calm stress-less morning. After that though, Keli gave me some information to put unto a spreadsheet. Luckily, it was also a simple task and I was proud to finally be able to finish off a spreadsheet of Keli's in a day. I was shocked because that rarely ever happens. Keli then took me out to lunch and we ate at Senior Lopez, A Mexican Restaurant. So I was ecstatic because I was gifted with a full belly. I came back to work and went up to Yessi's and Linda's office for more work. Linda provided me with a huge stack of papers that I was to put in numerical order. Of course, I was not able to finish it, but it kept me busy until the end

    Today was great. We had breakfast with our sponsor in the morning so we had to go at the blue room in our school. There, I sat with the Ideal people Amanda S, Amanda K, Linzie, Chris, and Brad. Perez, Osmara and I sat with them and started talking and enjoying our breakfast. When we were done Osmara, Perez, and I headed down to the school. I waited for Amanda Kowalski so she can pick me up and go to Ideal. We had a good conversation talking about she taking me to The University of Michigan campus which I'm pretty excited about.    Amanda and I arrived to Ideal and I went upstairs with Yesi and Linda. I started off by filing papers and hired folders. When I was done Linda had me do PDPM and hard dollar files. Lunch came and Yesi, Linda and I went to the Garden park to eat, we had Subway. We stayed there for a few minutes and head back to Ideal. I showed Yesi my quiz which I had A on it and told me to go with Kowalski to show it to her. She printed it and congratulated me. I we

Today was a very successful day. I got so much work done and helped many people. I started by making labels for Gary and putting them into plastic bags. After, I went to lunch with Amanda and Linzie and we had a great talk about my grades. After lunch was over I went back to work for marketing burning discs and that was my day.

I started off my day working on my HMC building layout, it took most of my morning since I had to go out to the shop and make sure everything was in it's right place. I then began to send out the last few emails for the Garden Party for DCRHS. I went to lunch with Amanda to El Barzon. We had a great lunch. After lunch I started to finish up my emails and then I began to send out reminders for the safety meeting. I continued on working on my HMC building layout, but I remembered that I needed to update the 1st floor layout with the new evacuation places. Once I finished that I laminated them and replaced them with the old ones. I finished all of my tasks for the day. I had a good day overall.

Today was a very successful day. I started out by helping Setech file their invoices. Afterwards I went to go help the marketing department by making a list of places to ship our inventory to. When lunch came Keli took me to Cafe Con Leche for the first time. I had a tuna sandwich with chips on the side. Lunch went great and after, I went back to working on my list. When the day was over I got ready to go home, Sylvia had one more task for me I had to print and staple some papers for the garden for a meeting and that was my day.

Today went smoothly for me. I came in, and it was slow at first because Keli was in her usual meeting and Gary wasn't here. Besides, someone had dissembled my computer so Jennifer and I putting it back together. After that was done, I began filing for a little while and then worked on some papers for Jennifer. That ultimately took me most of the day. When I finally finished that though, Keli wanted me to do a mail merge, but forgot to put the zip codes in so I had to do that. When I finally finished that, It was the end of the day for me. That was all.

  Today was a great day. I came in to Ideal and started to do PDPM and hard dollar for Linda since she wasn't here.Then Yesi had me check the list to make sure every employees' checks were there. When I finished, I helped Yesi on Excel to organize expense reports. It was something new for me, but it was fun. I finished and Yesi had me mail checks for employees, I had to seal them and stamp them. Later I had to file papers and put them in the employee folders.    Lunch came and Yesi, Chelsie, and I went to Subway. We got our orders and we went to the Garden Park to eat since it was so hot outside.We went back and I started to do my Geometry homework; I took my time and finished it. When I was done with my homework, Yesi had me put checks and the copies together so Chelsie can file them. Overall, my day went great. JP

Today was a very successful day. I got a lot of work done, I first started the day by helping marketing refill there some of their cabinets with paper. Then we went off to Cobo Hall to set up the Ideal stand. After I went back to Ideal and helped Yesi with payroll and mailing checks. When I was finished I went downstairs and talked to Catherine and Keli about the Vietnam war and that was my day. Jose Perez

Today I started off my day working on sending out the DCRHS Garden Party invitations. I had to log into Linzie's computer and Frank's in order to send out emals, I liked that task even though it was quite tedious. I had to make sure that the attachments were being sent out properly and with the right content. I was assigned more tasks throughout the day, but I sti11 I had to go help set up for the trade show with Catherine, Keli, and Amanda. It was a lot of fun, we grabbed lunch and coffee there also. We came back around two, and I began to send out the emails really quickly. Then I had to scan some papers for our next safety meeting talk. After I finished that task I had to make an event folder and edit the evacuation plan. My afternoon went by fast, but it was a good afternoon. Overall my day was very productive. I finished all of my task!
